Werewolves and Wolf-people of Rifts Earth

Okay, I have books that cover your standard Werewolf and the Zenith Moon Warpers, as well as the Wolfen and the Lone Star worldbook for wolves and a great many other critters. What other books have RCCs or monsters that have a wolfish look or feel to them? I've gotten the idea that either the Canada...

Re: Did anyone ever use the Valkyri?

One of my players ended up as a famous mercenary and anti-CS rebel. By the time of the Juicer uprising he was trying to unite merc groups that disliked the CS to aid Tolkeen and the Valkyri were one of the groups that belonged, but after the Juicer uprising they along with a lot of juicers dropped ...

Re: Best places for dimensional travel

You could also have the players randomly rifted to another dimension and then have to learn how Rifts work to get home. World Gate on Wormwood is a good spot for this as is Center on Phase World or the Plain of Mist also mentioned in DB2. Nothing focuses your attention on a subject like survival. Y...

Re: Best places for dimensional travel

What locales are usually seen as the best places to go on Rifts Earth to find dimensional rifts or experts in d-shifting, especially for someone starting out in North America? I was thinking of a character who's a D-bee or even just plain human from another dimension. One not normally visited by th...

Re: Did anyone ever use the Valkyri?

... A small village was bringing in a lot of credits... turning child abduction into a slavery for profit scam... So much money that they had a fleet of flying Titan x-o. and lot's a boom stcks! The Valkiri learned of this wickedness; a day later that small village is nothing but ashes. Because the...

Did anyone ever use the Valkyri?

Was looking at the Juicer Uprising book again, and out of many fun ideas in it I especially like the Valkyri mercenary unit. Both out of a fondness for Amazons and for the background and setting information given with them. I was wondering, did anyone ever use them in their game as enemies, allies, ...

I agree but the original Rifts Mercenaries has several good SDC weapons like the MP-10 and the MP-23A caseless weapons.

I double-checked and found them. Thanks.

Best books for S.D.C. weapons in Rifts

I would like to know if anyone can give me a few titles for books that lust a few non-M.D.C. weapons, mainly firearms, being used in the Rifts setting. I mean, it's not like the Chi-Town 'Burbs or other civilized (in theory) places would let you walk down the street with your plasma ejector or laser...

Re: Best places for dimensional travel

The nice thing about rifts is that they can form nearly anywhere, anytime, for any duration, and for any reason. There's also plenty of (semi-)permanent rifts as well, and still more rifts can be intentionally created through the use of magic and other supernatural abilities to boot. With that in m...

Re: Changing your O.C.C.

Okay. I've read in Rifts about how both City Rats and Juicers, just to name two examples, can change their O.C.C. to another class. How does this work? Can you actually have two or more O.C.C.s in Rifts or another Palladium game? I thought it was intended to be impossible. In the Palladium Books ga...

Depends a little on your timeline: Tolkien (if it still exists) New Lazlo Old Detroit (if you want to search ruins for more "unusual" practitioners) Federation of Magic (I get the impression this is a kind of keep your hand on your wallet kind of place - but keep your hand on your soul mi...

Re: Changing your O.C.C.

Thank you everyone for the responses. It seems like, barring extraordinary events like a Juicer deciding to detox rather than die, or say some spellcaster getting horribly mangled and their friends 'saving' them via cyborgization, changing O.C.C.s is a bad idea.

What is a 'Fadetown'?

I've been buying some Rifts and other Palladium books after many years away, and I've noticed several references to 'Fadetowns'. Just what are they? I get the idea that they're towns that rift in and out of various worlds at random. Or is it something else?

Best book for Rifts Vampires

Okay. The best one stop for all information on vampires in the Rifts setting used to be their first and one of the est world books, Vampire Kingdoms. But now I see that Rifts has a Vampires sourcebook. Has the second book replaced the former as a reference work for the Rifts vampires or not?

Re: NEMA, Chaos Earth, and D-bees story ideas

i wouldn't say "hotly and violently opposed", so much as "they're largely ignoring them". the upcoming Chaos Earth: First Responders goes into this a bit more, though you've pretty much pegged the why. NEMA will not help Dbees, but unless they are actively hostile will also not ...

NEMA, Chaos Earth, and D-bees story ideas

Okay. So in the canon Chaos Earth setting NEMA is hotly and violently opposed to all D-bees they meet because they're 'invaders', intentionally or not, and more immediately because they're competition for the drastically limited amounts of food, medicine, and other resources that the humans they're ...

Hmmmm well seeing as Palladium has been annoyingly silent on the state of Pa. It would be difficult to say. No major fault lines near Pittsburgh, maybe a small quiet one, far from the coast... I suspect down town would suffer, the surrounding neighborhoods would probably fare better, I assume there...
