I promised to buy any new Palladium Fantasy release that was published.
That was 2003.

well as far as all that goes, the PF world is not that far advanced yet. The peoples still rely on magic more then technology to get the job done, and IMHO, thats how I prefer it. When you get right down to it, there is a very simple reason why people prefer magic to technology: magic had one Hel o...

Re: We need new Palladium Fantasy books
My wish list: Wolfen Wars (Longest promised) Old Kingdom (Both books) Land of the Damned 3 Yin-Sloth Jungle (reprint in 2nd edition) I thought Old Kingdoms was longest Promised. Lets get Land of the southwind and Isand at the edge of the world to 2nd ed. And who accepts the contention that Rift Dim...

I see. PB distributes it's Feats and class abilities differently. BAB is now part of HtH and WPs as well as a couple of other skills, like boxing. some Feats are part of WPs and others are OCC abilities. that is how I see the structure of special abilities in the 2 rule sets. so making a table of Ht...

It's been said before and I'll say it again. PF will follow the Path of Robotech. in 2008 we will get 3 books, then in 2011 PB will drop the licence. PF isn't a license. that's part of the joke. it was 1st raised a couple of years ago, (2005?) that PB would abandon PF officialy, like it did to Robo...

taken at book value only, the various fighter classes are only different by virtue of the OCC spicific skills. the Attributes can apply to any Class, the Attribute requirements are never in the bonus area and thus have no mechanical effect, only by GM Fiat. and may classes, through skill point spend...

Re: A few Questions!!!
1) When someone parries does his weapon take the damage dealt? No, but if they block with a shield then the shield takes 10% of the damage. where does it say this? WP Shield. It is an optional rule that I use, but it is in the book. The book also talks about shields just getting roughed up and only...

i just looked at the rules, they are too rigid, so lets cut and paste. the time to draw a circle is 15 minutes, (simple circles of protection take 5) thats 60 combat rounds (or 20 for simple). the GM may want to cut that back based on the fact that a skill will be used to deturmin quality of wark an...

Re: A few Questions!!!
I've just started to get into the PFRPG. I'm almost finished reading the 2nd edition corebook. Here are some questions I have so far: 1) When someone parries does his weapon take the damage dealt? 2) If an enemy rolls under the AR and hits the damage goes into the armour right? 3) Ogres rape and ma...

I realize it might not have a bearing on Palladium fantasy... but Rifts Ultimate Edition gives a 10%+2% per level chance for any literate mage to be able to learn a spell from a scroll; unless a particualr OCC lists different chances. it's sort of valid. GM/house rules, applied with care, are what ...

wizards are magic scollars, they study magic energy to understand it and manipulate it. if you want to be a stickler for it, the maximum damage for the weapon shouldn't be changed, but i can see where the probable damage or average damage could stay the same and the changing of the rolling of the dice to determine damage wouldn't matter. i think from the examples adam of the kingdom s...

my understanding of the rules is. Shields are classified as weapons they only take damage if targeted. Shields are viable recipients of master working (dwarven etc) and magic properties. Shields need to be replaced every 6 months or so as they deteriate from use. (no mechanic for this, just GMs disc...

yes, while the mechanics don't cover seige weapons specificly, it is (un)common sense to not be easy to parry a ballista. ("You're going to backstab him, with a balista?") Unless your a Titan or simularly giant sized but a ballista is more like a largish hand weapon to a giant. that's one of those ...

I liked the CWAC stuff, in principle. I did not agree with the damages and such but I did use it as a reference when porting rules and stuff to get a PB standard. I set a seperate dodge and Parry modifyer based on DR. but DR was based on other factors it was just easy to do. it also worked well with...
