Re: R.I.P.
I am truly sorry for your loss. I can relate in a way because I am the baby of 3 gaming brothers. My oldest brother brought D&D back with him from the Air Force to our hick town in the 80's. He introduced my middle brother who later introduced me. Although both are still alive they have chronic ...

Re: What is your ideal Dead Reign loadout?
Yeah, something like batman armor would be nice...but you can fake it with pads and heavy wool wrapping, at least enough to deal with zombies if they get close enough that you'll have to use your hatchet. the mask though, is something people usually forget about. Helmets and facemasks, something wr...

Re: What is your ideal Dead Reign loadout?
Greetings survivors. I haven't posted in forever, but I like this topic. I'm going to approach it from an oh s**t the wave is coming perspective, instead of what I have or haven't got personally. Clothing wise I would grab Deluth firehose pants and jacket; backed by several layers of cotton or wool ...

Re: the 10 Best US states for Seft Havens..
I actually had a barge based idea myself. The damned things are basically floating castles. Some modification knoweledge and a nod to Icefalcon for being on the same page about the Mississippi and you have a floating metal castle. Using the shipping containers already there you could have droppable ...

Re: FREE or cheap equipment that will keep you ALIVE
Haven't posted in forever, but this intrigues me. Most of the basics (and some complicateds) have been covered. However, the original intent was free or cheap. I will add to that with my list as compact or multi-use. 1. An Eastwing roofing hammer/hatchet. About 3 pounds of the toughest steel put in ...

Re: Choice
I would send a small diversionary force of no more than 3 of the fastest members to draw the zeds away from the sites. Then I would take the main force to rescue the survivors, use them as extra hands to grab weapons arming those capable then hit the food if possible. However, I woud have contingenc...

Dealers & Dragons This story takes place a long time ago in galaxy far far away (the 80's). I was a young newb playing a paladin efectionately named Luke Dragonlance (boy was I a newb lol) Anyway my brother was DMing at the time and one of his npc's was a female ninja from the future. She worked...

No offense taken. Just wanted to let you know that, in my experience, there was never any violence associated with gaming. There were many fights over basketball and softball though.

Hi Razz. In Missouri, where I'm from, in the early 80's they were allowe. However, after the furor of the "evil D&D craze they were removed from all institutions. As usual people fear what they don't understand. As far as behavioral issues, most of the people I gamed with were model inmates...

Pfrpg and Rifts mostly Phase World and Three Galaxies, with our own twists. Yeah it definarely made it much more bearable lol. We even made dice out of wood glue stolen fron the furniture factory. I worked in the library with access to the copier so I handled the grunt work. I made a good deal of &q...

Re: 3 men a bag of Palladium books one mountain 220lbs of ge
As a younger gent I made some critical mistakes in judgment whoichled to a stretch in the clink. In prison in good ole USA pnp games are contraband. However, me and my pals would have books smuggled in and photocopy them 4 pages to one. We used cards for dice or homemade spinners, until a sympatheti...

Re: I love traps!!!
One of my all time favorites is a hallway 10' wide by 10' high with a tee or branch or L (doesn't matter) just has to be 20' or 30' foot deep. At the end of the branching corridor is a door of regular size for the dungeon. However, the entire door is made of metal, something hard not gold etc. There ...

On the contrary, it was hillarious. My gamer chick...er fiancee whom I love dearly was nearly forced to use her magically absorbent undies she was laughing so hard. Re: Welcome to Uncle Remus' Emporium of the Arcane
Once long ago, in a now forgotten age ther existed a very special sword. A sword with three blades, two of which could be proppeled like missiles. As well, inside the hilt a hidden dagger for last resort. This blade was last known to have been possesed by a displaced prince. If good sir you could fi...

I'll take the cuffs, the crossbow, the Rope, and a silver tooth its (its a canine). What do you have as far as Swords and Spears? The old man arches a brow with a rather inquisitive look before slowly nodding, a hand coming up to gently rub at the stubble on his chin. " Not exactly a 'bring 'e...

I allow things like this on a case by case basis. I always reward my players for being innovative and creative. If nothing else, I may allow them to spontaneously create a new spell by combining spell functions. Players are imo rewarded and happy when they feel they have contributed to the overall b...

Mend Wood?
I have a question, in the fantasy main book the goblin has stats for the cobbler. As well, in rifter 16 there is an expansion of the cobbler into a full r.c.c. One of the innate abilities listed is the spell mend wood. However, I can't find the spell anywhere in the book. If anyone knows where it is...

On the contrary, I enjoy the complexity and variability within the palladium combat system. However, I would like to see Kevin, or someone oficially designated by Kevin, address issues like these on the forums or possibly the Rifter once in awhile.

Hand to hand question
I have recently noticed an inconsistiency in the write-up for the hand to hands in 2e. Several of the fighting styles state that all basic moves are known, however the same moves listed in those paragraphs are given as higher level additions. Is there an official ruling for this, or do I have to hou...
