Re: I don't know exactly how to ask this-MMORPG anyone?
This also assumes that Rift is still even out when this theoretical Palladium MMO arrived. MMO development is a loooooong term project, as I'm sure we can all imagine. Bigger games have come and gone in the time frame we'd be talking about here. Worrying that the name would be a problem isn't even o...

Re: What if Wave 2 were made like Reaper CAV figs?
Well, the other side is existence. I'd take single piece figures next year over multi-part figures that won't arrive for 2-5 (if at all). There's a spectrum, of course. If single pieces would take 12 months and 5'ish piece ones could be done in 15-18, sure. But they need to actually reach the market...

Re: I don't know exactly how to ask this-MMORPG anyone?
I don't see how that's hurting Palladium Rifts. I believe Rift is a purely fantasy setting. The notion of 'tears/portals in space leading to crazy stuff' is all over the place (or we'd better lay into all those Stargate series). Obviously they'd just name it Rifts: Adventures in Time and Space or wh...

Re: I don't know exactly how to ask this-MMORPG anyone?
A single player narrative RPG experience is also something more easily controlled. Making it an MMO involves not just piles of content, but adjusting that content with an expectation of multiple players. Rifts already did a video game, and I believe I recall hearing it was reasonably well received, ...

Agreed, Morgan. The saying about being able to please some of the people, etc, is very true here. With over 5k backers and who knows how many non-backers who have bought RRT globally, there is *zero* chance of being able to please 'all of the people all of the time'. A change in materials will cause...

It wasn't in WoW's league, but it was fun enough, Task Forces were crazy, and it had both wonderfully diverse powers and an absurdly good character generator.

No. "Can" it be done? Sure. We could have people begging for tanks and healers for the Prossek raid in search of phat epic loots like any other WoW cookie cutter ripoff. Would it remotely carry the flavour of Rifts? Should it be done? Probably not. It's an immense amount of work, time, mon...

As a point of order, they haven't done anything but say that it's being worked on. I can't speak for PB, but they've had plenty of people speak of visits here, and it's not exactly an uncommon mention in the weekly update.
Agreed on calling ahead, but assuming they aren't too busy with writing and RRT ( ), I'd hope they'd be able to meet up with you while you're in the area.

Wouldn't it basically append "this unit generates one less CP" to the option? Aside from 'leader' level units, VT's generate 1 CP per turn, so if they're burning them for maneuverability (very strong, mind you), they won't have them for evading (less necessary if they're not in range to ge...
