I saw that on the Daily Show a long time ago. "Tastes like Grandma used to" :D

When I saw the thread title, Hufu was the first thing I thought of! I want to get their tshirts.

I've only tried venison twice. Once was ground, so that doesn't count, and the other time it was steaks, and those were so tender that you didn't need knife. Just cut the meat with the edge of your fork. But it mighta been how it was prepared.

Venison, when properly cured & prepared, is just like Stattick said. I enjoyed a lot of Venison when my dad went hunting, and you can tell the difference between the good stuff & the improperly prepped (the improperly prepped kind is tough to chew & a little gamey-tasting).

As for this "HuFu" stuff, I keep getting that Chuck Heston rant from Soylent Green popping into my head ever time I look at this thread. I'll pass.

Actually, what I tried WAS a little gamey, but it tasted like beef, just tender and a little sweeter.

Hmm... MAYBE IT WAS PEOPLE... :eek: :lol: It was served by my very strange grandparents after all...

Weird, weird, weird.

I'd still try it tho' - this reminds me of when me and one of my buddies would go to Denny's late at night and have conversations as to what we would and would not eat (if the opportunity arose).

Most of the stuff that I think I would refuse to eat comes from Australia - like the platypus.
That thing don't look right alive - I don't know if I could bring myself to eat it...
