Manuscript update...

Unread post by Braden Campbell »

PW Sourcebook 2 proposal:

My opus is nearing completion with about a week to go until my self-imposed deadline is up. As of this writing, all that is left is to finish up one type of pirate cruiser, outline some notable Pirate leaders, and then the section on the Dominators.

Just wanted to let you guys know.

so will it include such interesting bits of information such as how stealth systems work with game mechanics and sensor systems too? an expansion on dragon industries would also be delightful.

I am. First I start them on a slow simmer, then add my own special blend of spices and herbs. Baby potatoes, carrots, and various other veggies are added. After about 3 hours the meat just comes right off the bone.

So is this likely to be canonized? Will it be printed by palladium?

How about a teaser? Do the Dominators have slaves or are their planet-ships entirely automated? What do they do on their planet-ships? Why do they need ships that are so large?

Well not trying to speak for Braden, but if its published I would consider it cannon. As for being printed we'll have to wait and see once Kevin has the manuscript in hand.

For a book manuscript I wouldn't suggest posting any more than has already been posted. Braden did you sign an NDA yet? If not its still advisable to play it safe and not post anymore than you have. Sorry guys, I just want to see Braden work make it to print.

Braden, you should feel free to email me if you want me to elaborate more.

Hey Braden, did you get the greenlight for this bad boy at the Open House? Just wondering. (I wouldn't know as I wasn't there).

Good luck with it. :ok:

Heck, if it takes not having a teaser to get it published, I'm ok with that. So, get it published already!!!

Haven't signed any Non-disclosure stuff as yet... but when the finished manuscript goes off into the mail, I'll be giving the office a call... be sure to mention it then.

And, Josh, although this was one of three proposals I stuck into Kevin's hand at Open House, it was actually my Rifter submission of the same material that got an "expand it and we'll take a look at what you've got" green light.

So keep writing for the Rifter, boys and girls.

Ah, who am I kidding? There are no girls on this forum...

Shadrack;

If you are diligent and root through some old posts around here, you can find bits and pieces of it... mostly older versions that were hashed out here in various arguments.

But I won't be posting any more direct portions of it. I will, however, say this: the submitted version addresses many questions and concerns that most of us have brought up here at one time or another. In a way, it very much a fan-based creation.

Nice Teaser Braden!

I hope you will all enjoy the section on Space Pirates, which I just finished. 23 pages of info, with three new ships, and three new weapons (although, to be fair, the arc welder and the rivet gun are tools).

;)
