Chi-town and surrounding area question.
I'm running a solo game for a friend in this area, I've read the main book stuff on it, and the section about chi-town in the CWC, but where can I find more info on this area and the ruins of old chicago.
and lastly where is the info on the coalition head honcho who is supposed to be deeply involved in the black market etc. I can't recall where this is.
Thanks for any help!

Colonel Lyboc is the nasty CS officer...dont know where the info on him is.
Sourcebook 1 is where you find info on Lyboc.
I LOVE him as a character.

There's a reason...and a very good one...that I have certain people in this forum blocked both here and on Facebook.
I can see an illustration of that nearly every time I come here.

Three, actually.
-------
Forbidden Knowledge
Firetown and the Tolkeen Crisis
The Vanguard.
---------
All three detail that Burb.

+ Sb1 that makes 4
Sourcebook One doesn't detail Firetown.

Actually, I was responding to this part:
argos wrote:Lyboc has info in SB 1 and stuff about him in juicer uprising. There are two sourcebooks detailing one of the chi town burbs: Firetown.
Hence why I corrected Argos and wrote three.

Besides the three are there any that attempt to flesh out a burb even a little? Im lookin for as much canon material on it as possible (which makes your vanguard clarification all the more valuabel to me personally)
You're welcome.
Chart it out with maps, and the like? AFAIK, the three I mentioned are it (so far... ).

To answer Argos question, I believe that the Old Town 'Burbs would be those neighborhoods in closest proximity to the fortified cities, (such as Chi-Town). They tend to be the oldest, and therefore most established neighborhoods, or suburbs, outside of the walled cities.
Examples would be Josephton (at 80 years old, now the oldest existing 'burb), Prosekville (76 yrs. now), Ironforge (68 yrs. now), or Little Chi-Town (the newest of the Old Town 'Burbs, at only 38 years).
Some Old Town 'Burbs, like New Colfax (53 yrs.), rumored to be the location of the Vanguard, is a Factory/Industrial complex area, quite different from other such 'burbs.
But Firetown, as I believe you mentioned, is considered a New Town 'Burb, not that there is anything wrong with that. For instance, Staunton Heights would be a pleasant neighborhood (also a New Town 'Burb), with it's manicured parks, fountains, nice homes and picket fences.
