Newbie Question" The Wyvern" ???

Unread post by Amberjack »

The Question is In Eastern Territories, pg 110 under the Phi section a dragon-like Wyvern is listed. What is it , and where can stats be found. As it is listed as dragon-like I assume it is not a dragon,so what is it.
I know what it is in D&D , but had never seen one listed anywhere else in PFRPG, any help would be appreciated

What it is, is a darn good question.

Wyverns are not described anywhere in PF, to the best of my knowledge. They also are not found in the RCB as something from another system.

My best guess is they were thinking of something like the cockatrice, but used the wrong term.

It's most likely an error from the earlier days when the PFRPG was a spin off of D&D.

In the Old Ones book there is listed a half orc as being a merchant in one of the cities. The PFRPG doesn't allow for half breeds so the inclusion of it is a mistake that got missed.

Wyverns are dragon-like beings that only have four limbs, two wings and two hind legs, apposed to the dragons' six limbs, two wings and four legs.

Other then that I can't say what sort of sats they have because I don't know if the PB W's are CoM, SN, or mundain.

It's possible that the Wyvern is listed in one of the 1st edition books: I'd never had them all, but I seem to remember there was mention of the Wyvern, and I just extrapolated from similar creatures for stats.

Maybe it's a live yema.
