Idea for a BTS Victim game

Unread post by Guest »

Okay, so it doesn't have to be a victim game, it just seemed to fit better there.

I was having this dream where a bunch of boy scouts were out camping in a wilderness preserve owned by a philanthropic business man and saw signs of big foot. Naturally they decided to track down and see if they could actually see bigfoot. Unfortunately for them the big feet (does that reall work as a word?) were actually owned by the "philanthropist" who used them to lure unsuspecting souls to his personal abbatoir which he had hooked up to his big foot release mechanism and viewing room as well as his "surround sound of screams theatre."

Pretty freaky dream, but it makes an excellent adventure idea for BTS.

compared to some of the stuff my mom's related from her dreams, thats nothing.

someday i'm gonna have to sit down and write up the one she related about a youth pastor reviving an aztec blood cult in a church.

Hmm..speaking of dreams that would make good adventures, here's another one I had, that has been converted into an adventure.

WARNING: This adventure contains strong racist overtones, however no racism or prejudice is meant. If you feel that this adventure has problems in that area, please feel free NOT to use it, read it, or otherwise have anything to do with it. The views of the racists in this adventure are NOT the views of the author.

The PCs are teenagers or young adults baby-sitting a group of young children (ages 2-9) at a state park beach area with lots of trees, sandy beaches, and some nice beach cliffs (with sets of stairs scattered here and there through the park to get down to the beach). Also present are the standard picnic tables and covered picnic table areas, barbeque pits, and a single log-cabin style building for holding scheduled meetings. The PCs have been watching over the children for hours, and the sun has just set, so they're getting ready to cook the standard picnic faire for the children. One of the PCs, off for a moment alone, away from the children, discovers a clearing in the woods where what at first glance, appears to be inhabited by members of the Klu Klux Klan having a meeting. There are some discrepancies however. The burning cross is upside down (still on fire though) and there are several people clearly not KKK members being held captive. As the PCs watch, one of the captives is brought to an altar that was previously obscured by the KKK members and chained to it. With a growing sense of horror, the PC sees that KKK members take off their masks and begin draining the blood from the terrified captive, all the while those waiting for their turn are chanting and singing. Yup, that's right, the "KKK" group is actually a group of vampires. The lodge master (or whatever he's called) is a master vampire who inducts, well let's just say prime KKK material, into his vampire cult with the promise of becoming the "True White Power."

Coming Soon, even more demented dreams-cum-adventure ideas from the insane ninja.

Sanity Check: Since I know it will probably come up I'll refute it now. While I have had dreams of alien abduction, none of them have involved any "probing."

That was a Good idea.

Maybe some of the KKK Vamps turn some of the colour people into Mind slaves.

That would be some thing they would do.

Yet more fun from my demented subconscious.

A cruise ship with a PCs' family members (near or distant) goes down while at sea for no explainable reason. Historical records indicate that over the last few centuries, several other ships have unexplained disappearances or sinkings in the area. On site investigation will eventually reveal that among the shark infested waters lie the remains of several ships, all lined up in a big arc and floating upside down about 20 feet off the bottom. Near the inner curve the arc lies the remains of an ancient temple, dedicated to an unknown being. It seems that certain 'spirits' are sinking ships to claim more sacrifices for their cult, to bring about a new apocalypse when their 'god' returns...all they need is a few more live sacrifices to make it work. Interestingly enough, it seems that the PCs' family members have been inducted into this cult instead of sacrificed and they're mindlessly trying to find even more sacrifices. (For some reason, the live members of the cult have the ability to breathe underwater indefinitely.)

problems:
cheerleaders don't go camping

if they did they certainly wouldn't be hunting down anything in the woods as the sound of an agitated weasel would get them unnerved enough to vacate the wilds

finally, cheerleaders aren't smart/curious enough to engage in exploration of the unknown

hence why buffy the vampire slayer never worked for me
The entire experiment may ultimately not work. But as Tiger Woods tears into the springbok, his mouth crimson with blood, he looks to have all the makings of a natural-born killer.

Wrong genere. The "Teen Sleuth" thing has been dead for a while, and for a lot of societal reasons I don't think it will ever make a return.

Tell it to Veronica Mars.

(I agree with the rest of your post, though. Check out the Three Investigators series. I always liked that better than Hardy Boys. :ok:)
