There has been some discussion on this board regarding this. Popular opinion suggests there are actually more levels than the 10 listed with each level being several hundred feet in height. I personally prefer the cannon and make each level huge with the execption of the lower levels making them only a few hundred feet in height. Lots of conjecture and speculation regarding centers secrets some say it is a component of the forge itself. Used to observe the behavior of the denziens of the 3G to determine a day when we all behave peacefully then the forge will reveal itself. But that is just one theory. Others say it was manufactured by the first, but others say thats not possible because center at 5, 000 000 is too young. Others argue the carbon dating isn't accurate as no sample can be taken. Many teories, is suggest you use them all. Have cults present in center each convinced they know its secrets, its mor fun that way, but that is just my opinion.

We had real books not PDFS and we carried them on carts we pulled ourselves that we built by hand. We had Thaco and we were happy. If we needed dice we carved ours out of wood. Petrified wood just because we could.

Sold, indestructable metal.

What is Center's past? :-?

The Second Stage promethians created it in conjunction wtih Zurvan eons ago. It was to serve as a fortress. Now that they realized they didn't need it, they rented it out for easy money.

The question might be: what is Center's future?

My personal theory is that Center was built at the end of the universe and is travelling backwards through time. One day it just appeared on the plains of Phase World, and millions of years from now we will catch up with whomever built it.

That's a bit of a refreshing departure from the "no one knows how built it" routine that pops up so often in the setting... even if I stole it from Dan Simmons ;)

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

I think I remember seeing Dark Water. It was interesting. Just people were disappointing for it.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

The hook was my players where looking for work. Their guide takes them through the septic systems (possibly an escape route into seclusion) and their guide's true intension was to feed his master who took the form of alittle boy. Hope it's not too far fetched for a PW setting. :-?

I don't think "too far fetched" is possible in Rifts! I am not sure you want to make an entire level as a nesting ground but maybe a hidden space between levels. When you consider the level of Center, keep in mind the circumference and vast area that it would occupy. It's hard to hide such as space, but there are plenty of places in the levels, especially the lower levels, that a cult could exist and not be noticed for hundreds of years.
