Did everyone see this from Kevin's Murmur a few days ago?

Kevin wrote:World Book 11: Coalition War Campaign and the Chaos Earth RPG will be headed for reprints next week along with Rifts® Ultimate Edition.

I liked it. Nothing's perfect. But I liked the RUE. Thought it was long overdue and a welcome addition. :)

reprints will have all the same data as the original. My RMB was like 7th printing...and it was exactaly like my buddies third printing...errors and all.
I want to see from Palladium:
Updated Aug 2015
-Rifts: Dark Woods/Deep South, Space 110 PA, Scandinavia
-Mechanoids: Space (MDC)
-Robotech: Errata for Marines timeline, Masters Deluxe with SC and UEEF gear, Spaceships
-Updated Errata for post-2006 printings of Rifts books
-Searchable, quality PDFs/E-pubs of current Rifts titles

If the errata is included I will buy it. If not than I will won't. It would just be pointless to get the same book with the same errors twice.
If it's stupid and it works. It's not stupid

Palladium can't be given a free pass for criticism because people have a lot of emotion invested in it.

Pathfinder is good. It is not the second coming of D&D.

Oh they will be proven wrong. I didn't spend the better part of my internship marking up my original copy of RUE full of the errata for it to be ignored.

Nobody's answered the question about the ad. I mean, is the game still in production? Are N-Gage's still in production?

Though I'd like to say the same, I think I'll hold off a bit to see if the second printing actually has the needed corrections before jumping on one myself. If it does, Woo Hoo! If not, that'd be a shame.

I'm in the same boat. I've refused to purchase RUE to date solely on the principle that I'm sick of Palladium not addressing errata like even much smaller RPG companies manage to do without a problem. That there isn't a downloadable .pdf document for this title (and, indeed, so many others) is simply a shame.

That said, if the 2nd printing is thorough in addressing not only gramatical and layout issues but also more substantive ones like the missing spells, I'll be picking up a copy. Here's to hoping... :-?

I didn't pick up RUE for all sort of reasons (all of them issues with Palladium's quality or lack thereof), but if the second printing is nice and clean with all the errata taken care of then I'll certainly pick it up.

Hmm, well im not buying another RUE for 40 bucks, but I would not mind getting an official errata for a few bucks. But I was expecting the fixes to be mentioned in the RUESB:1

Kevin has long said that he would post the errata on line once RUE's second print came out.

I can't fault people for worrying that their will be no errata in the second printing. It's not like PB has the best track record for releasing errata on their products. The only real way to silence people on this topic is for the second printing to be released with the errata included. While also releasing a PDF a week or two later after the second printing hits the shelves.

Oh come on, Josh. It's not like we've never been told to expect something and still not see it for years if ever.

But in this case we've been told not to expect this. It's not like it's available for order.

It seems some fan was working on something with a nod from Kevin, but it's not being plugged as an upcoming book.

Am I the only one that realizes there are pages of errata notes stickied to the top of this forum?

The Lord of Bones wrote:I think the only problem with the stickied erratta thread is that a lot of the 32 pages of it isn't actually erratta, it's unofficial (but mostly well thought out) discussion. I think people are expecting erratta such as the official erratta pages on the main page of the site. Or a pdf. Either way is fine with me, as long as it's posted.

You pretty much hit it on the head LOB. Sure there is a link to errata at the top of the page but:

- Most of use don't feel like going through 32 pages to find stuff.

- a simple file with link incorporating all the errata in the new version should not be to hard for PB to do.

-PB released a book with errors. PB responsability to provide the errata.
