Given that only the vagabond starts play with candy and there is no given prices for the stuff, I'd say it's safe to assume the "Great Sugar Depression" has already come and the poor buggers starved to death, providing the nourishment to foster several dozen tribes of psi-stalkers who sadly suffer from attention defic-oooh, shiney!

Well, if we have a Living Planet of Eyes, why not other parts as well?
While the Splugorth already have a symbiotic heart organism(probably originally a filter-feeder organism that made its living endlessly pumping fluids through its feeding filters...whay can't there be planets or organisms of sensory organs, and maybe appendages that serve one purpose but could be adapted to others...like forests of tentacles....
Suppose such a world was found...remembering how profitable Eylor turned out, the Splugorth who hear of this find(likley through espionage) all rush off on a Nose Rush(or whatever) and go to war over this new resource to deteremine who gains the foothold and subsequent monopoly(and the PCs are either Slugorth,Minions, other alien intelligences, or just plain ordinaru PCs caught up in the middle for whatever reason).

Or maybe the Splugorth have eliminated them from Eyelor to protect their investment, but have kept some genetically engineered stock on hand in case Eyelore wakes up and rises against them, or if an enemy turns large numbers of captured Eyes against them....Maybe they already have parasite eggs implanted in them laying dormant to be activated by a specific stimulus...

The canonical spell 'Shatter' is too weak though, and anything that can crack the container can just as easily kill the eye...

Hmmm....I wonder if you used 'Water to Wine' if it would work...the liquid inside is probably too exotic to be easily changed, and the Eye would likley get a saving throw versus magic, but it would be interesting to see if you could get an Eye inebriated....

IT would count as a major acheivement using the Rifter rules for megacookery...super megadamage creatures with magical flesh and alien chemistry...major side effects up the yin-yang, with a fatality rate among GODS and other alien intelligences akin to that of fugo among normal human beings...
Needless to say, beings like Hades, Aries, or Aerihman would likely boast of having supped on Splugorth(it would be a rare treat, unless they had a captive Splugorth chained up somewhere and were cutting pieces off it as it regenerated), as a sign of their power....

Man, though, that gets DARK,...

In the Three Galaxies, there are various 'comfort treat' companies vying (mostly for species-specific markets) for attention.
The unimaginatively-named Cosmic Cookie has the Human Alliance market, but is facing some increasing competition from Krangus Hearth, the big Wulfen-owned bakeries that are branching out into other species' baked goods(though some humans derisively call Krangus's products 'milk bones' and 'scooby snacks'). The undisputed masters of baking(at least from a human point of view) are the Elvish bakers of the UWW...even with mass-production, quality is high...and 'elven magic' isn't just a catchy sales-pitch, it's taken as a TRUTH....Even the Dwarves have to admitt that the Elves can bake up a storm(although the Dwarves also complain that most Elven goods are frilly, frothy, lightweight, and overly-sweet confections that don't sit in one's stomach like a good Dwarven Mineshaft cookie or hearty bran muffin...Dwarven breads are oft said to have more fiber than a ball of raw twine...).

You don't wanna know what goes into Splugorth baking...just lemme tell you...those ain't raisins....

WE had our suspicions...Your posting schedule and rate of posts indicated some sort of chemical stimulation...the consistant comprehensiveness of posts meant that hallucinogens were out, a general lack of depression and maudelin ranting ruled out alcohol, which left caffiene or chocolate...and a lack of missed keystrokes meant that you weren't on a coffee-bender....so..Chocolate it was...
