I ignore the super power aspect very nearly. Invincible Guardsmen kick plenty of tail with two of the selections from the minor powers, hand-to-hand: Martial Arts, and power armour training.
I can accept that maybe the Kreeghor still have a few transmutaion tanks left over from the good 'ol Splugorth minion days, but somethng about "comic book super powers" in a space opera setting bugs the hell out of me.
No APS:Fire Kreeghor in my game...

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

I prefer PW to be more of a hi-si-fi. I like magic in PW to be mystical, controlled only by the UWW and the splugorth. I hate superpowers in a sci fi setting unless they are inherient to a particular race. and only one power. Mutants should me mutated forms of existaing life typically horribly which may or may not have some benificial side effect. Like hardened skin making them megadamage etc. Basically I agree with Bray who incidentally has used said IG with extrodanary pp in power armor, Yucky in the extreem.

We had real books not PDFS and we carried them on carts we pulled ourselves that we built by hand. We had Thaco and we were happy. If we needed dice we carved ours out of wood. Petrified wood just because we could.

The Shiii-ar empire in Marvel universe uses super powers on regular basis. Fading suns uses super powers (space opera again), heck, even some of the "GREAT" sci-fi literay authors use superpowers for their alien races (though not comic book level...most of the time).
Yours is a personal preffernce, but some GM's out there have no troubles with allowing the use of 'supers' (especialy for NPC villans).
take a look at the Cosmo knight; just give 'em surf boards..think about it..REAL hard

So they just have to get a cosmo knight to use it as his weapon of choice!
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"
"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."
"As you will it, your Grace."

Actually the shield is sharp edged round and concave. So it plows thru bad guys! He is an expert at wielding it, since he wielded one before he bacame a CK.

Sounds like an interesting character Retired Juicer!
What sort of character are you talking about Darkmax? Your retired warrior that is.

For my part, I dislike superpowers as they are.
On the other hand, I can happily accept Burster-like
(or Physical adept-like from SRun) psi or magic "focus"

But still, one of the most basic rules for survival on any planet is never to upset someone wearing black leather - This is why protesters against the wearing of animal skins by humans unaccountably fail to throw their paint over Hell's Angels.
