I like the ear plugs I have. It cuts sound by as much as 39 decibels.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"
"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."
"As you will it, your Grace."

Ouch that is too bad. As I said ear plugs might help you enjoy those venues.

NIGHT OF NOSFERATU
Hook: The players' ship is about to fall apart. Missed or faulty
maintenance, ugglies, battle damage or just plain "tunning
went wrong"... Yet some breakdowns from the cascade of the
errors are "just happening". Fortunately, there is a station
within range.
Line: The station, a rather large asteroid, is orbiting a gas giant,
have seen better days. But it is still part of the Golgan Republic,
and while it has only like 50.000 populace - mostly Lurgess.
And the station, on its orbit is about to enter a large gas cloud
in the shadow of the gas giant - and most people are begin
to worry - but noone can leave the cloud.
Buerocracy, organised crime (at least two major gang is
about to settle some issues during the Night), a doomsday cult,
another cult offering salvation...
Then the Night Cloud snuffs psionic senses, jamming it with
screams and similar pleasant sensations (not overwhelming,
just do not open yourself to the supernatural)
...and then people start to dissapear.
Sinker:
The major players:
- The disenchanted golgan Administrator and his staff
- A lurgess crime group, with strong xenophobic tendencies
- A Gun Brother lodge, mostly lurgess but with a high
lord in the background - experimenting with the walking
biohazard... I mean the populace.
- A "mundane" doomsday cult, with a crook who plans
mass suicide (and have a fast ship prepared after that)
- The salvation cult... Which is in reality a vampire
intelligence's effort to create an army of terror troopers
(undead Lurgess are still infectous) for its own, larger
purposes.
Points of storytelling:
Special pains are needed not to make clear who is who,
what is what - as in a good horror story. And do not let
it degenerate into a slugfest.

KLM flushes...
Isolation, misdirection, and maybe worthlessness
are powerfull tools.
I mean when you suddenly discover, that you cannot
escape with your faithfull ship, your supernatural senses
are overwhelmed with astral "static" and you cannot
use heavy firepower to solve a problem. And maybe,
you cannot even comprehend the problem and
you cannot solve it... And you know it.
-------------
I have a friend, who is really a good horror storyteller
(I am better to make those stories, than to GM them)
who once said, make the party suck... And precisely
poise on the verge of their nerves. (Cause if you
make their characters more miserable, they will
stand up and leave you ).

"What lies within the tri-galactic cluster, in the void between galaxies?
Worlds long dead and frozen, their civilizations forgotten and the once living star that gave the planets vigour, now spent. These orphaned systems were cast out into the gulf in ages past, before The First and The Other destroyed them selves in the first Forge-war.

Darkmax wrote:free floating planetary-star system....is this actually realistic? Just want to know. Can a star system exist without a galaxy?
Theoreticaly, if a star is at the rim of a galaxy, and is somehow destabilzed / caught / thrown from the gravity field of the galactic arm, then yes.
One Example; Pictures & simulations of galactic 'collisions', show countless stars being knocked out of the rim AND core areas of both galaxies as the gravity fields try and stablize.
So, yes..that is ONE way for stars to be orphaned. To my knowledge though, all stars need to be born in galactic nebula ..afterwards...that's up to the gods & physics

I don't hate clowns but I've never liked them. I do have a couple of phobias. So I can sympathize with you! Although I'm not bothered by insects. I've had several praying mantis over the years as pets.

So man-eating tomatoes? Are they edible?
