Zero Gravity Movement/Combat
According to the description on page 151 of PW you apply 5% of your PP which unless you have a pp of 20 or greater is zero. PP 20 would be 1. Which means at 15th level a character with a pp of 20 will have a 61% movement in zero gravity. Does this make any sence or shoud it read x5 pp which means an average pp of 9 will have a 45% chance of moving in zero gravity at first level. What does the forum have to say 5% or x5 PP?

x5 (five times).
Most people adapt quite quickly to microgravity.

But still, one of the most basic rules for survival on any planet is never to upset someone wearing black leather - This is why protesters against the wearing of animal skins by humans unaccountably fail to throw their paint over Hell's Angels.

Small font: use ctrl+c and copy it, so you can read. But since it is in small fonts, it is not important. I am not a NE salesperson.

And some people never make really make it.
It is - according to the few reports I read -
kinda like sea-sickness. Some make it,
some don't.
Why not to tie it to an attribute in an RPG?

That is what attributes, like PP are for, right?

Actually with a poor sense of balance (achieved by
alcohol consumption for example) it is quite hard
to fight.
So, I guess, it is a definite yes.
I mean during an RPG-engine design one have to
balance between details/realism and simplicity.
Not to mention the fact, that the game mood might
dictate a bit different physics that RL.

I would think pp/ .5 would be better so a pp of 20 would have a base 10% zero g combat.

And Joe Average Human, with a PP of 9, would only have a 4.5% (let's call it 5%) chance of doing anything except floating around banging into things.

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.
Except that Joe Statistical Average has a PP of 10,5...
...but in our RL experience (based on who became
astronauts, including space tourists) I would say,
that if after a brief training Joe S. Average have a
chance of like 50% of not bouncing around helplessly
is a rather good rule of thumb.
Without ANY training however...

Usually.
I haven't met a person yet, who cannot be taught to swim.

Scary...
Thought I hear a similar story, about SAS qualification,
and the guy also walked throught the pool. When asked,
he said he cannot swim.
The officer in charge said, that he is in, 'cause they can
teach him to swim...
...urban legend? I certainly cannot tell.

I remember going to Gold Gold Australia with my wife and we did a bit of those tourist submarine experience... and they had to put almost twice the weight on me just to keep me from floating....
I must have large air-pores in my bones....
I am in a similar situation except considerably more retarded. If I see someone sitting on the bottom of the pool, I can't seem to keep myself down there to do it. However if I try to swim and keep myself afloat, all I do is sink like a rock.

That is way up there. In the range that legends should have. Such as "Max and Miriya Sterling! (Sorry about the misspelling! )
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"
"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."
"As you will it, your Grace."

With my 37 PP I end up with a 165% skill check (or 98%) or at a 1.65%. I think just using your PP as the base percentage would probably be best. Or maybe PPx2? Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
Err... Somehow I prefer that the rules give plausible result
for Joe Average... You know, the plain vanilla guy, with
stats like 10-11 (or even 9-12).
Of course this might mean, that superhuman beings go way off
the scale - but that is why they are superhuman, right?

I always considered Max and Miriya both to be way way way above the norm.
