If you have cards, bring them!!
IF you want to learn how to play, we will teach you!! If you know where to buy cards, BUY THEM!!
If we get enough people, there will be a Tournament of Awesome!!

ApocalypseZero and I will be there, representing for the ill-fated but nonetheless super-fun Rifts Collectible Card Game!!!

Well, if I have to employ that eye to seek out those with cards I will.

I am planning to bring my entire lot of cards. I have a deck for every Nation card (excluding Upstart Warlord) and wish to keep them and at least a set worth of cards, the others (extras) may possibly become 'yours to own' if you show up. Sadly, we lack Starter Decks for anyone looking to jump into the game now. Check the Internet and your FLGS bargin bins for them.

Bring Cards, Show up, get devoured by the Xiticix....I mean and have FUN!!!

Yep, last year I donated a Complete set of Rares knowing about Palladiums troubles and all thinking I was doing something cool to help out. The idea was that there would be a tournament and the Donated set would be the Prize. No freaking tournament. The set just went pffft. No real word on even who got the dang thing. :x :x :x

Did you give them to the Palladium Office, Preacher? I know that we didn't get them (we were trying to run the tourney) and since it was so hectic the tourney didn't really get off the ground. Taylor White and Apocalypse Zero are dedicated almost TOTALLY to the tourney this year (White is only running one other game). I'll ask around at the office and we'll try to find that set.

No they weren't just sent to the office. I sent them directly to Kev. I know he got them because I talked to him about it after the open house to find out where they went and was told they were given away or some such, but I was disappointed they were used for a tournament prize.

As much as I know my name may not be "out there", I'd think Brandon could have scraped through some emails or something of Palladium's records to find my name. I'm sure Kevin still knows it, but then again maybe not.

And I plan to only run one RIFTS RPG game myself (Sat. Afternoon/Night hopefully). A definate will be the Tutorial & Deck Building seminar. I know that I'll have enough cards to do that at least (my own plus any extras brought in, including a possible donation from Preacher.

I didn't think there was an actual tournament last year. I don't remember seeing anything that one took place, but I do know that people were trying to have one (lack of players?)

Which is why Taylor and I are trying to spread the word about this. We want to have interested people show up and try to participate.

I sat at a table and played the game with Brandon last year and talked to some people about it, but that was it.

..I'm interested in completing my set, so I'll bring my extras. The problem was the rare cards were just too rare; I bought five cases of boosters and only ended up getting about one third of the rare cards.

I had the same problem trying to compile complete sets myself Mike. Even when I was getting the cards for $25 to $30 bucks a booster box I know I was having to buy 6 to 8 boxes just to get the rares. I know I averaged over $200 per set because of how many boxes I had to buy.

If you are looking for extra cards though I have some listed for sale Here in the classifieds. :)

Hey, I might be in on that "owning extras" bit. It kind of works out as I ONLY have the starter (the other is remaining sealed). I'll bring my cards and we'll see what happens. No promises though. :)

The Tourney will either be Sunday Morning or Afternoon. The Tutorial will be either Sat or Sun morning.
