Great places to eat, while in Taylor?

Great places to eat, while in Taylor?

Unread post by Reddenedone »

I was looking at a list of restaurants found in Taylor... and my first question is:

Is Famous Daves BBQ any good?

What would you more knowledgeable types recommend?

Actually last year when me and girlfriend left the Open House, we stopped at Famous Daves for a late lunch. It was pretty decent. Not too far from the Open House.

K.C., huh? MO or KS side? I ask, because we have a fairly sizeable delegation of Missouri gamers going.

Oh, and as far as places to eat, the only one I remember from last year is the Denny's right next to the Ramada. :)

Chello!

Sonic is pretty good...won't matter for the OH, but Tuesday night is half-price burgers.

My ratings for fast-food burgers is as follows:

1. Whataburger
2. Dairy Queen
3. Sonic
4. Wendy's
5. Burger King
6. McDonald's
7. Jack in the Box

Course that's just me....ymmv.

Of course, speaking of dogs, the chili dogs at der Weinerscnitznel are to die for! (Wonder if they have those in MI?)

My wife and I both love the movie 'Harold and Kumar go to White Castle' and ever since we first seen the movie we decided we have to see what the fuss is over this place! Road Trip to White Castle! Im sure it won't beat an Apache Burger from Toronto but we're willing to check it out...

Also im told the Chilli Dogs from Sonics (sp) are to die for...

Fair warning, Whitey's is a fast food place that people seem to either LOVE or HATE. I personally think there are much better places out there for my money, but their food is OK. :)

The best burger places I have eaten at are the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago and Goldies in Tulsa (the Hardees chain is pretty good too). Then again, a friend of the family's cooks the best burgers I've ever tasted... :fl:

I'll admit, I've never had one. However, the few burgers I mentioned (other than Hardee's) will be hard to beat. :)

I like me breakfast. the "Continental breakfast" from the ramada may be stale bagels and discolored fruit slices so I may walk to Petes in the mornings.

I can definitely vouch for the excellent Polish restaurants, Gideon took me to dinner at this little Polish Inn when I was in Detroit a month ago and we had an awesome meal.

If you can make sure the littlest ones are not going to drop baby debris into their diaper, I can observe your children while you and hippie mama eat somewhere and be romantic. I stress that I have no idea of how to change a diaper and my version of baby sitting is turning on the tv and periodically checking to see that nobody is bleeding or eating broken glass.

I ask the world at large this important question.

Would you entrust rat_bastard with your offspring?

I can only imagine the years of therapy it would take to get the kids to remember that they are not Jason Richards.

:? :? :?

:P

I don't know if I'd trust rat_bastard's children with rat_bastard :?

:P

But thanks for the offer? :? :P

Perhaps it is more a question of: Do the Jason Richards robots know how to care for children? Because inevitably... I'm sure you'll use them to watch the children :)

The EPA won't let me use my Jason Richards Robots in the United States because of the dangerous amounts of chump they release into the air.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice place for dinner. I would like to take the beautiful and gracious Mrs. Reelman out for a nice dinner Thursday night as the rest of the weekend will be fast food/junk food.
