What book to 'complete' BtS2?
I'm thinking of getting BtS2, but reading that it's an 'incomplete' game I wonder what book will fill in the missing bits? Can I fill in the gaps with just one book like HU2 or Nightbane?

No, but seriously, they are. Mystic China oozes flavor and its monsters are interesting because of their style, not just stats. And there's nothing like the totally unexpected appearance of a Yama King to up the drama angle. The interactions between the different ranks of Infernals. I'm also very fond of including Reformed Demons in every game ever. Ever.

Look, get a hold of BTS (the original) or nightbane.
ALONE, either can be used better than the BTS2 book for a BTS game. (in the case of nightbane, ditch the actual nightbane and change the setting).
Sad to say, but the second edition book offers very little new stuff to the mix. Slightly adjusted combat system, new way of assigning starting skills. Bothersome but otherwise interesting new rules for ISP. Of the 250 or so pages in the book, that accounts for about 20. If you can get the original, then you are set with a decent, solid game that is a little behind the times but can be updated in your head.
Or get nightbane and it's suppliments. I've used Nightbane to run a purely human game of sorcerers, it served as the basis of my Psychics unlimited (the X-Factory) campaign and of course a good handfull of Nightbane games (as well as a short lived game of Dhampyres).

"Things aren't what they used to be" is the rallying cry of small minds. When men say things used to be better, they invariably mean they were better for them, because they were young, and had all their hopes intact. The world is bound to look a darker place as you slide into the grave.
