Dimensional Outbreak is my must-buy Palladium book for the year. Haven't been this excited about an RPG book since Madhaven (I'm ex-NYC and I love mutants). I got to play in Carl's demo game at the Open House and the info on Center, the demonic ships, the space magic and the cool ideas were all really exciting. So glad I played the Space Warlock.

It's the kick in the pants Phase World has been needing! Nothing says coolio like a hell invasion across multiple galaxies and dealing with the aftermath.

I'm looking forward to seeing this whole set of books released,
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

The Maps for Hades and Dyval have been done since "05". For those that don't know I did color maps of Hades and Dyval and sold a set at the POH of 2006. I didn't do any at the POH 2007. I hope Kevin puts them in PDF form and sells them on the website as an extra.

The maps I'm referring to are the first four levels of Center. I have the manors done and second level is partially done. I'm finding it difficult to keep in scale. I'm using the symbols of building and such provided by Campaign Cartographer to give the maps a real feel and not the typical PB maps with circles and squares and stuff. Now that I'm finished with Armageddon Unlimited (and already got those maps done :) ) and I can go back and finish the ones for Center.

Too much said already I suspect 8)

cool

maps are always good ... as long as players don't use them as well to find the fast route back to where ever it was they came from.
part of the fun thing about exploring is the challenge of tracking your journey.

NO ONE .. as far as i've seen in the games i've been in or even observed, ever made use of tracking their own way when exploring a new town ... they all assume its one street.

it will be nice to see it shown as otherwise
Creator of the Chi grenade. Used in game by Kevarin [GM] and self as Mai - Civilian Martial artist that got amped via experiment. Ghost weapons and shirts rule.

Nano Missiles - used once and GM banned further use. They weren't THAT bad. and did stop a demon scout ship from returning with valuable info.

Yeah I know you guys cause I'm one of you. I love books with cool maps. They alone can generate ideas. I'm hoping the HU fans will like a mapped out super villain fortress I did. Its all statted out and ready to be invaded by supers. My poor players are game testing my stuff and have already had experience some of the new super powers, like Complete Possession!! muuhahahahaha :demon: Its funny cause the villain with that power was a secondary bad guy and he didn't even have full stats, yet he caused the group the most grief!

great, that's so the main baddy can say things like: "I was wise to place my face in you oh, first underling..." :P

So is the line I highlighted in the very first post, general invocation magic ?

someone mentioned something about a Space Warlock, or is it Warlock magic just for that OCC ?

When I created the Space Warlock they were intended to be just an invocation spell caster. Ask Spinachcat, he played one at the open house. It seemed to work ok. The way Kevin tweaked the O.C.C., Space Warlock covers two magic class under one umbrella. So you pick one type of magic, invocation or elemental. In either case you get access to space spells. My preference leans towards invocation and that's how I did the spells.

There is a twist to some of them and that you have to be in space to cast them :)

I'll chat with you guys next week when I get home.

Thanks! :D I had a lot of fun writing the book and I just let it flow out. It has been the easiests of the Minion War books to write so far.

Don't worry Nightshade37. Kevin usually keeps my ideas pretty much intact. He reorganizes and cleans up the writing. We talked about Hades and he was telling me how he fixed this and that, but the idea was still there and I think expressed even better. Kevin is a great writer in his own right and I like what he does to my stuff.

seeing as how Phase World is practically the only dimension (that's is written up) I run campaigns in, I am looking forward to seeing what else you have in store for us.
The Space warlock / Magi of course is something I've been drooling about since it got axed from the '3 Galaxies' book.
Also the alternate Demonstars have caught my interest.

I'll just have to be patient. :? :-? :P

Not really alternate versions of the Demon Stars, just different classes :demon: Fighter, frigate, carrier and more. I even have something special planned for the deevils, but its just too good to say at this time.

Chello!

Carl, must say that enjoyed the Outbreak game @ POH as well. :D

Query: Re: Aramgeddon Unld.

What PC level is this geared toward? I need to know whether to slow down or speed up my PCs.

Thanks,

I varied the levels of the various NPC's. They are broken down into certain teams and they range from mid to high level. Assuming Kevin doesn't change it.

Right now I'm running my players through it and I let them make 4th level heroes. Hopefully that will give ya an idea.

I'm very happy with them so far Aramanthus. I know some folks are leary of meta-plots, and some of the Palladium Fantasy fans feel cheated. But I stand behind my work and can only give it my best. I figure I've got 20 years of gaming under my belt, so I should have a fair idea of what "most" gamers should like. <-- Wow that sounded arrogant didn't it :D

I know I can't please everyone and I honestly don't expect everyone to like everything I write. But hey, if they can get some ideas out of what I've written and make use of them then that's good enough for me.

I really think you should have written a 6th book, just seems appropriate to have 6 books in the palladium goes to hell saga. Unless you are using five books like a pentagram...

Hey you know what they say about Vegas? 8-)

My wife and I had a great time. Traveling was uneventful and I got to work on my heroes game while on a layover in Newark.

We had a great dinner at a fondu place called the Melting Pot. For those who are dating this would make a great first date. Or if you like food like me than prepare to spend two hours stuffing your face full of good stuff.

All in all good time. I've been spending this week doing nothing! Well maybe playing Mercenaries on PS2 a little too much, but hey its the end of my vacation.

Thanks for asking.

I know Kevin is trying get Hades out by GenCon. Lets hope so!! Just an FYI Hades and Dyval are good size manuscripts and Kevin expanded their page counts to include all of the Demons for Hades and the Deevils for Dyval. I think that makes them more comprehensive and you'll have all the info in one book. Its a lot to go through and keep in mind Kevin is doing a lot these days.

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

You've been playing for quite awhile yourself. I stated playing Palladiums material around then too with Robotech as my first game from them. I was working for a friend at her gameshop at the time.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

That is the year I first found out about Robotech by Palladium Books.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."
