That is very cool! I'll have to keep an eye out for any you may have missed. Although I don't think you missed too many.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

Or maybe we could come with a coordinate system that could be used by the masses. That way we could set a universal map of the 3Gs.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

Yeah, right. Okay.
Knowing me, I'd probably try it (witness my Rifts North America map) if it weren't for the fact that there are no reference locations for anything other than Phase World's location.

A universally created coordinate system could be worked out and a set distance from center could be worked out.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

Mapping the three galaxies

Unread post by Daikuma »

We're working on it over in the Cosmography Thread, from the galaxy on down, feedback from those on high would be much helpful.

Could always go with this

By convention galactic latitude and galactic longitude are usually denoted by b and l, respectively. The directions perpendicular to the plane (either b=+90° or b=−90°) point to the galactic poles, creating a spherical coordinate system. Objects that have a galactic latitude — b — (close to) zero (near the galactic equator) lie in the plane of the disk of our Milky Way.

Can we get a Mod to sticky this thread, please?

It's a good resource for the eight of us who are regulars here.

Giving this a little bump. I wanted to see if Carl or Braden(?) have any new official planets they want to add to the list.

I can't wait to see your version too DhAkael. Braden's is very cool though! I printed it up. Better galaxy than the one I tried to do years ago.

Not Squatting on Braedon's head or Devlin's.
It's just I have no time to do fine detail work on the maps.
Besides, that wouldn't be fair to the GM's.
there has to be some freedom / lee-way for the game master to put his/her own spin on things.
They wanna have maps of each star system? More power to 'em ;)
They just aint gonna be done by me :D

I'm looking forward to seeing yours though. The other two were beautiful in a full color format printed on high quality paper from a work printer. I really don't mind detailing and personalizing for my own game. Now that you have set the grid pattern down we have some standard distances. Now we need to try and document those of us using your maps. I don't have access here at work to how big each one is. But the maps will be a huge help in playing and GMing. Thank you again.
