I could have sworn I had seen this skill either in one of the books or in an issue of the Rifter. As I didn't find it in BTS-2, I am leaning towards it being a skill from one of the Rifters. The wrinkle is, it doesn't seem to appear in any of the dedicated skill articles that I looked through.
Thus, if anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
The Cryptozoology skill.

I remember it in one of the earlier Rifters, there was a specific new OCC called the Cryptozoologist. The skill was a part of the OCC. Had a pic of a chick in glasses picking apart what looked like a Xiticx, though it was made as a BTS1 OCC (mind you alien bugs from space wouldn't be out of place for BTS)
The Index lists BTS OCCs in issues #1 & #13. #1 had the cursed psychic and the priest, and others, but I'm pretty dead certain that the cryptozologist wasn't with them, so I'd lay good money on issue #13.

Try though the glass darkly or the HU:Galexy Guide for that skill. might be in TtGD, but I'm 99% shure its in HU:GG.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.

Well, I know it isn't in TtGD. Therefore, I'll check Rifters #1 & 13 as well as AU:GG. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll let you know if I find it.

Yeah, I found it the other day. Thanks for the help you guys. After reading over it again, I've just decided to lump it in with Biology (as described in the RUE).

Instead of Fighting the monsters, he'd run up to the monster and turn to his compatriots and start telling them about it. Then he starts handling it and showing his friends all the gory details about it. He would have to have a natural horror factor towards animals and DB's though. Think Steve Erwin meets Tasslehof Burfoot... Frickin' sick...
Sounds like a possibility for a Rifts or Phase World campaign. The PCs can be in charge of chasing down new specimens (or escorting a hinting party), fending off xeno-animal rights activasts, etc.
Be at peace, my people. All shall be looked up.
