Actually in Hades their is a Demon Lord who is getting some of his minions Bio-Wizardry modification. He is doing it secretly though. The book also talks about how those who receive them are considered Fallen, basically shunned from Hades society.

actually that's not the way I meant it. the character doesn't care, since he lives on Center for the most part.
however, I don't get why the Freakshow that is Demonkind would even care that a member of their society might have changed a bit and this somehow makes them unworthy... ? oh, well hope the book 'splains that one

You do get some understanding of demon society in the book. You're right they wouldn't care about this Alu. In fact there might be a few lesser demons who might be jealous and try to take away what he has established.
