He's probably aware of that goddess...but he seems to specifically asking for the Bird of Legend.

Greetings and Salutations. While I'm not sure if these will be quite what you're looking for, I'd say these are the Palladium equivalents you're seeking (the basis behind the myths, though not necessarily the same). There is a race known as the Phoenixi (yes, there is an I at the end). They have the ability to burst into flames and heal all damage (yes, ALL damage, but limited in how often it can be used). This is a R.C.C. described in Dragons and Gods, page 149 (directly after Bennu the Phoenix). They're humanoid/bird types, and they're not immortals (they do have life spans). Similarly, they are printed in Rifts Africa, page 60. They're kind of birds and burst into flames ... darn similar name ... referred to "Children of the Phoenix" (referring to Bennu, not the other bird) and "Fire Birds."

And, just in case anyone is looking for it as well, the Thunderbird is in Spirit West. Ondi Thunderbirds are page 153 and the god is 187. This is just for reference (as I looked into it ,thinking the original poster asked, and then as I was getting ready to post realized he didn't, but already had the info readily available). This is just in case someone will ask in another post or two.

Again, I wouldn't say these are necessarily the exact legends one may be seeking. If one is familiar with the legends and seeking the same thing they may be disappointment. But, if looking just for the Palladium version then this might help. I hope this is what you're looking for. If not, then you may just have to make something more personalized because I don't think you're going to get anything closer (not officially at least). I hope this helped. If not, then my apologies. Thank you for your time, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys.

In hades there's a bird of prey-like creature called a psi-hawk that can ignite and then fly while sheathed in flames. It's not quite what you're looking for, but it's close.

Depends on the versions you see, Bloodspray. The Oriental Phoenix is quite often depicted as a rooster... pretty much a flaming chicken.
