Dimensional Raider Campaign

Unread post by Carl Gleba »

The gang and I started a new game about a month ago. The theme Dimensional Raiders.

The players are all slaves to a Sunaj - they don't know he's a Sunaj and that their jobs are helping to fund some of their activities. They are based out of Phase World.

The players consist of:

A Demi-god cyber-knight with Shifter powers (yes he's a rouge Knight)
A Royal Frilled Dragon Hatchling who is a Shifter (yes I broke the rules about a RCC taking an OCC, but figured why not, make the player happy.)

NPC- A Grackletooth Temporal Warrior.

Two additional players will be joining soon.

Yeah I know its on the powerful;/munchkin side, but I always believe its the GM's job to maintain balance and I like a challenge :D

So far they ambushed a Splugorth Slaver and managed to sell his barge to the right parties. That was their starting capital for equipment by the way. They each had near to nothing for equipment to start.

Now they are in Tolkeen working a job that involves them stealing a TW Mystic Generator that the Tolkeen government is testing in a military proving ground.

So the questions are.

Has anyone done something similar?

What were the player characters and what jobs did they do?

Or what OCC's/RCC's would be ideal and what jobs would you plan?

Wow  :-D

Gadrin you never cease to impress me. Plus its scary that a couple of things you mentions (some similar concepts) are in my up and coming manuscripts. Great minds :ok:

I really like the character concepts above. Just from the small descriptions above they have lots of depth and character :ok:

Those are all some very nice NPCs!
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

I've never done a "raider" campaign, but have done the dimensional hopping adventure group before. They did occasionally pull trans-dimensional raids, they were more military strikes than smash and grab heists. It was a lot of fun. The characters were mostly human and True Atlanteans, there was one Shifter (True Atlantean), a Stone Master (Dwarf), Burster (Human), Ley Line Walker (True Atlantean), Juicer (human), and Dragon Hatchling.

Very cool! That was pretty awesome for off the cuff!

Two of my semi-regulars joined the game. Hopefully they'll be back for a while. Now I have a Demi-god special forces with shifter powers and a Pleasure Bunnie shifter. For some reason these guys are afraid of being trapped. For characters with shifter powers and one NPC...I have my work cut out for me.

They completed their first job which was to steal a portable recharging P.P.E. generator and hand it off to a Federation Lord in exchange for some info for their employer. Basically the info is a list of high profile magic items that are in the hands of the Tolkeen govt.

Their next job is to free another raider team that is trapped in Hades in the realm of Lord Karnack. For once I can run Hades using the book instead of a huge binder. This should be fun. For the game I'm using one of Gadrin's ideas. I came up with an Alu scout who will lead them across Hades for a price of course :D

I'm sorry but I've got a policy of no conversions of my intellectual property, unless there's a $25.00 check in the mail. My guy is an Aln demon (I pulled a microsoft and changed the / to \ or in my case, u to n. So Sorry.

Naturally I'm joking. $10.00 is fine.

How about a free book instead

I had been working on a team of NPC much like this. If you want a team to butt heads with this group let me know and I will share my notes.

who ever would like them. I just like sharing ideas. I had been working on them for a Rifter idea, but I don't think that will plan out.
