I have to ask this question. Why? :D
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

You get the word around that you need a spy/detective and 3 show up:

1. City Rat (human) with super powers of APS: Shadow & Frequency Absorbtion

2. Super-spy, master psionic (Toke Tuul from AU)

3. Bounty Hunter, (Auto-G)

they're all 3rd to 5th level and have the same pay.

I go with the Auto-G Bounty Hunter.

Who would you hire and why ?

The City-Rat seems to be the kind of person, who can do a
bunch of things in a city, including hiring the other two characters
if needed.

So, I would bet on him, provided he can persuade me about
his loyality.

All of the above.
Variety is the spice of life, and would all have their place in my intel division.
Eyes without life, maggot-ridden corpses, mountains of skulls... these are a few of my favourite things.

The city rat. I would think they would have their ear to the ground more often than the spies. My thinking is the spies are paid to go for specific info and therefor may not be too savvy about local events. On the other hand, to me, City Rats are always looking for opportunities to exploit and this could work to my advantage the best.

Hmm after rereading the original post I have to agree that the City Rat would have to be the one I would hire. Because in the urban jungle, they are the natives with their urban sources.

Of course, if an auto-g eats one, he/ she becomes the same...

But as for my question at the begining. Why? What are you looking for Gadrin? I'm just curious as to why. Some sort of story plot you are working on?

The spy, obviously. You want a spy, he's a spy. He's also goddamn psychic. This ain't exactly a tough decision to make.
