depends on the location.

at the marianas trench, deepest point in the pacific and the world, the pressure is over 1000 atmospheres. but thats 6.8 miles (11km) down.

the pacific's average depth is 14,000 feet (4280m), which works out to 425 atmospheres.

Being damned is not a good thing so could you not use it as a complement please, taking a word meaning bad and using it to mean good is a way the language gets bastardized, and its insulting for those of us that are christens here.

Besides that one of the board rules is no swearing.

WOW are you serious ...

ONE- You toss your religion in there for what reasons I have no clue ... if Being a Christian means your taking offence to something that was , is , an always will be ment as a compliment I with all honesty sincerly apologize to you .

TWO - An this part is sorta funny to me .. as you say the language gets basterdized an yet you trying to tell me one of the board rules is no swearing ...

P.S.
I apologize to you if you have felt slighted insulted or otherwise hurt by my attempt at being amazed at how easily you found something I myself could not .. I will take into consideration the next time that I post a compliment twords anyone else on these baords ..

Keldane wrote:May I suggest the use of a comma next time, Lenwen, to prevent confusion? After all, "Damn, you guys rock" and "Damn you guys rock" can easily be interpreted as having different meanings, especially when one is dealing with someone who uses the dictionary definition of the word.

On that note, a bastard is an illegitimate child, so by following the dictionary definition, if one was to "Bastardize" something, they would be devaluing it or "making it illegitimate". We assume it to be a bad word as a result of it being used in an insulting manner; in truth, bastard is an old term that was given a new meaning through modern usage. In my opinion, it's part of the evolution of language and culture. *shrugs*

On the original topic, the information here is all quite intriguing. I think I'll have to put it to use in the next campaign I run, assuming I can come up with suitable ways to put the players at the bottom of the sea.

Tomatoe tamatoe .. it really does not matter one way or another ...

The fact is I was quite litterally blown away at how fast they helped me an how easy basically it was for them ...

Fact is anyone who reads that .... and takes offence at it ... quite litterally needs to learn how to take a compliment ... as it was intended ... flat out period there is no debate there is no other way it was ment ... How can I know this .. Easy .. I AM THE ONE WHO WROTE IT !!!!
It was ment as a astonishment (which I was ) an a hell yeah man thanks type thing an as it was the first thing that came to my mind it was what I wrote ... period .
If some one cant take a compliment as it is written knowing that it was ment as a compliment thats not my fault .. But please .. dont be so sensative as to try to make it something its not ..

Didn't even see it as a missing comma.

1) I didn't toss in religion, I just described myself. If you took offense at me being a Christen, then it's your perceptions that are bent. And yes, I took offense at being described as Damned, because that is Not what I am.

I really could care less what religion you follow .. its your faith not mine dont care .. but sorta funny how people inevitably fall back on that stuff ... when they feel "persecuted" or slighted or what not .. oh its ok its cause my religion is the chosen one an its supposed to be like this ...

Secondly ... I believe I've already apologized ... an yet you continue ... with out so much as even an acknologment of the apology ... if you really like to flame bait THAT much man up to you ... You know how the orignal post was ment .. period ... to try to put words into some one elses mouth is flame baiting.. to try to interprete my own words to fit what ever your delusion was is flame baiting ... so All I can say is I am finished with you good sir you have my apology but more importently ... you have my sympathy ... good luck to you an yours on the whole apocolypes my good christian friend let me know how it turns out for you .

I don't think that's necessary. I could have understood it wrong, but it sounds like a degratory comment towards those of that faith, which is a group of people, rather than just him.

Anyways...

Cut it out (Everyone involved) It's not helping anything. The topic is the friggin ocean. I don't see any further reason why this conversation should continue.

I agree that this should turn back to the stated topic. Mack, there was 'no joke' on my part.
