I think if even the ST Federation starships had enough phasers for every crewmember

it is not a bad idea.

Plus the 'Borg, and all manner of flavor-of-the-week aliens who'd beam aboard...

The Federation, IMHO, could have done well to have emulated the CAF...

Not with the marines I have known over the years. And I've known quite a few. They are always under control. None of the ones I know would ever be considered trigger happy. I've known one who became an Embassy guard, one in Force Recon. Those guys are never trigger happy. I would be very happy having any marine as my back up. I would place my life in their hands anyday of the week!

Not really the same classes have been brought forward and are still present in SciFi settings like Phase World. Therefore it is still viable.

As a rule, people who deal with firearms, are usually very controlled types.

It took me to shoot a hole in the desk before me to not just to rigorously
keep every safety rule, but to reinforce them, whatever it takes.

Trigger happy people can expect to be disciplined. Soon.

Not that I didn't have my fun while teaching my previous keyboard "to behave", with five
different calibers :D but even then I knew the rules.

Actually the show was for the successor keyboard, to watch and learn.

It was 8 years ago and that piece of hardware still functions well.

I thought he was researching his disappearance and lead to find the body of Jimmy Hoffa. They found it? How come there hasn't been any announcements? I'd like to hear that. I really would like too.

well, he found records that an unidentified body had been cremated at a nearby funeral home only hours after Hoffa went missing. when law enforcement showed up to confirm what he found, the records had become conviently missing.

sadly, i figure that is as far as anyone is likely to get. no body to be found, since it the ashes were probably dumped into a river...

The group recieved several million credits for his body. I think it's a reasonable price.

Hmmmm A good question. No one checked. I always figured it was a clone body. That way I can pull it off several times. :D

Well, he has a son and Hoffa junior presumably has a mother.

This almost as good as having DNA sample from him.

And it does make for fun story lines when the people in the game see yet another body going a different direction then they are.

PC's going one way after selling Jimmy Hoffa's body and seeing it coming at them in center from a direction that they aren't expecting it too.

Where is the name from? I've never heard the name before. Is it something from Singapore?

I see what you mean though. Howard Carter is the one who found King Tut!
