Defenses against the Telemechanic Paralysis Power
I noticed that the power, "Telemechanic Paralysis," has the potential to unbalance a game. A Psi-Ghost, for example, with this power could turn intangible, walk within range, turn tangible again, and shut down an IAR-3 Skull Smasher, with little effort. Now one idea I came up with was that someone could use Telemechanic Mental Operation to reactivate it, or that a machine under Telemechanic Possession would be immune entirely. What other ideas has anyone come up with?
Have you ever been thrown out of a Rifts game for being smarter than the Game Master?

I don't think there are any defences against this power, aside from possibly the two you've already mentioned. It's only real weakness is it's range, but it's a heck of a power.

- Rifts isn't Warhammer 40K. Try to remember that.

I would have to study up on this but most of the telemech powers are fairly balanced IIRC due to range limits. and costs.

The only things that could help are Psi-tech crystals from Phase World, which can be used to block Telemechanics (all) powers from working on the given equipment.

Or giving your machine some organic systems, making it immune as a cyborg is.

The only system that could give a machine that ability would be a command circuit linked to a living brain... or some other life force integrating magic like they used to make the Tolkien juggernauts.
the other way would be to make your machines biological in nature... I hear the sploogs have lot of joy from that angle.
