Well, technically speaking I can alter reality with - for example - a sledgehammer.

I know exactly what KLM is talking about. Done it before in various games before.

"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

OK people, it looks like we have wandered away...

I merely disclosed a definition for the term "magic", ie. "Altering reality via the use of PPE".

It is important to note that "altering reality" in itself is not qualifies as "magic" (well, not
in my RPG vocabulary) - because altering reality via physical means is also possible.
(You know, dead keyboards do not type tales)

It is also possible with the use of ISP too (which qualifies as psi or psionics).

I would like "oriental" chi system and superpowers convert to it...

I'm not sure about the chi and starships. Magic could still be an effective method of keeping ships sort of out of the ordinary. Just adding a few TW items changes the odds for a special forces team using it.

I mentioned the above "supernatural" powers only because I expressed a wish for
them to be included in a coherent engine. Purely in the game-design sense.

Thank you for clearing that up KLM! I think that would be very cool to seeing someone create one like that.

Nope. Almost, but nope.

I think there should be a difference between PPE and ISP.

It's ok with me. I'm happy with that.

Good question. Last weekend he was busy running his Epic level campaign where I was busy playing my old salt. (A Swashbuckler/ Sorceror multiclass (Captain Culyn Shatterhawk) who was really a lost pirate until he gained navigation later in his career.) I'll be checking with my friend later this week. Thanks for the prodding KLM, I needed that!

And before you say it. Yes he was inspired by Captain Sparrowhawk. But the name is a family of Merchant princes (Shatterhawk's) from Forgotten Realms out of Cormyr.
