Draconid/Phantom Question
Hello everyone,
A player in a game I'm running recently asked me about RCC related skill progression for a Draconid character he's making. Looking at my copy of Phase World, it would appear that neither the Draconid nor the Phantom RCCs get any additional RCC related skills as they level up. Could someone please tell me if this was deliberate, or some sort of printing error? Thanks.

Re: Draconid/Phantom Question
It is hard to be sure, if they have exceptional natural abilities, lacking extra skills might be a way of equalizing things.

An innocent question. Unfortunatly, no one posting here knows the authors intention
Honestly, probablly an oversight.

Re: Draconid/Phantom Question
I would hazard to geuss that they would get new skills, but you would have to role play them out tio get them, much like in HU.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.

Re: Draconid/Phantom Question
It doesn't look like a printing error to me. Actually, very few classes in the Phase World book receive new secondary skills with experience, although most at least get O.C.C./R.C.C.-related skills.
As supernatural/magical creatures that rely more on their powers than on technology, it could be argued that the draconid and phantom simply have no great need of skills, and therefore do not bother to expand their initial education. On the other hand, they do get a pretty good allotment of skills to begin with, unlike most "powers instead of skills" races.
For the draconid, I'd personally use the same skill advancement as the character's equivalent O.C.C., i.e. Ley Line Walker or Mind Melter, as appropriate. For the Phantom, I wouldn't give any additional R.C.C. related skills, but would give two additional secondary skills at levels 3, 6, 9, and 12.

Re: Draconid/Phantom Question
That is a reasonable balanced suggestion. I'd go along with it!
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"
"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."
"As you will it, your Grace."
