What you forgot last OH...
I have an idea for discussion. What did you forget to bring to the last open house that you really wish you'd remembered, and may have really needed? Maybe it'll clue others in before they forget the same thing.
I'll start-- I remembered my cell phone but didn't bring a car charger for my rental car OR a regular charger.

...and my P.P. is huge!!

I brought a digital camera, laptop but no USB cable.

I brought way too many books. This year, I'm going to keep the number way down.

Are you ready for this?
I forgot my dice...
Yes, I drove over 600 miles to a gaming convention and left my dice bag at home. Embarrassed doesn't begin to cover it, I would have lost major geek cred if I hadn't had my tiny little emergency dice bag in my pocket.
As it was, everyone just thought my miniature dice were cool.

Personally, I think that we have a duty as role-players to try to anchor each other to reality a bit. To keep other gamers from being complete freaks and weirdos, or even psychopaths, if we can. Killer Cyborg

I also forgot my cell phone charger, so I had to buy one at the mall before the VIP night. I paid the guy at the T-mobile demo booth cash for his personal charger, since they didn't have one for the Sidekick I had at the time (which was a piece of crap anyway).
The sad thing was, I did remember my dice, but I never got around to joining any games. I'll make sure to join a game this time, though.

No funky-smelling gamers!
Bring your hygiene products, people--and use them!
That's what I hate most about big cons like GenCon--the funk!
I served on a warship with 5,000 men and women in tight confines.
If we could smell pleasant under those circumstances... WASH YOUR BUTTS!

Oh, I never said I disagree with him. Spending a week in a tank in the desert without a chance to wash up will make showers near and dear to one's heart. Just gotta give him a hard time now and again.

Yessiree, we went from helpful reminders to all-male wet T-shirt contests in less than a page.

Re: What you forgot last OH...
I know what I've forgotten. Names and who people are. Seriously, I have to be the worst person on Earth at keeping names and faces attached in my head. Which is a sad sad thing with all the cool people I met last time. I remember faces in my mind, but can only place a name with about three of them off the top of my head.
Well, at least one of them is Kevin.
Think I'm going to bring less books with me this time too, I went a little overboard last time and only ended up breaking out three or four of them.

That's what name tags are for. If I've met someone before and can't remember their name I try to casually glance at their name badge.
