Four days from RIGHT NOW

Unread post by Jason Richards »

I'll be at the office, hanging out and waiting for the doors to open and let the insanity begin.

No matter how many times I do stuff like this, I'm always surprised at how excited I get. I can't wait!

I'm having mild panic attacks at the thought of speaking to people in real life.

Aten is going to kill me. :(

So... you're telling me I have four days left to finish up 22 characters and figure out just what the hell is happening during my three games?

Alright then...

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

I put together my stuff for my VIP players this afternoon. I should actually be more or less on top of things come Thursday, I think.

This week is Schwan's Super Week. It's the largest sales contest we have where we try to sell more than we've ever sold before. When I was hired I gave them the condition that come Hell or high water, I was taking a four or five day weekend in the spring every year for the Open House (last year I used to it to drive up with Warwolf to help with the move).

Usually when you take some vacation days you work what you can and let someone else cover the days you're off, but since it's the big contest and we're really not supposed to take off during it, I ran both Monday and Tuesday's routes today, minus the businesses. Tomorrow I'm running my Wednesday route, and Tuesday I'm running the businesses from both Monday and Tuesday in the morning (hopefully) and my Thursday route in the afternoon/evening. Wednesday it's Friday's route and then at around 2AM Thursday Warwolf is picking me up so we can get to Palladium in time for the VIP night (it's about a 12 hour drive from here, 14 from where he is). Mind you I usually spend about 70 to 80 hours doing all this, and I'm only allowed 14 hours on the clock each day by the Department of Transportation, so I'm having to work harder in the shorter time I've got.

14 hours down. Slight sunburn, but none the worse for wear.

Now to write the characters for my two games, finish the deck plans for the ships, and compile the NPC's. No rush, right?

I'm only taking a handful of books, mostly those that I need for the games I'm running.

lol. Not with that Zombie Pepe running around. If I leave it at home, the scent will throw him off.

I'll be on the ground in Detroit in approximately 12 hours. Another minimum-sleep night of flying for me! Darn those time-zones, I always lose out going East.

Hope the hotel lets me check in super early! :-P

See you on flip side. Oh, I can't forget...
