Hey man, I'm with ya; the Open House is like going to a family reunion, but with people you like. It's hard to anticipate waiting another year to get together again.

*nods* As a newcomer, I found it was a lot of fun and everyone I talked to was really nice. :D

Yeah, it's great having an entire warehouse (and/or hotel) full of people who all love the same system and company. Any time there was a lull between games, or at the hotel after the Open House was closed for the night, there were always other gamers milling about to talk to.

Chello!

Yeah, my wife and I feel the same way. On Monday morning she said, "I don't want to go home." It's always nice to see good people and have a great time.

Nah, it was fun man, we need to get together some time before next year; maybe you can come down and go floating one weekend. We've got great riverways for it.

I woke up (early, because I was still on Eastern Time) yesterday morning in my own bed, and I realized I didn't have to get up to get to the warehouse, and I was a little sad. I've got a few commissions to finish up, and I know it's going to remind me of the people that requested them and I'll probably be a bit sad from that as well. Hearing that they alread booked the hotel for next year (a GREAT chance that there will be an Open House in 2010) cheered me up, though. I had a blast, and I really hope next year will be just as fun (if not bigger and better) with everyone that couldn't show up being able to make it down next year.

Yeah, no kidding.

Seriously, this is a perfect example of why I'm in the process of becoming an English teacher.

I am still wishing I was there. It was such a good time I literally had to force myself to leave after 5 on Sunday. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Yeah, don't forget to pull over any suspicious looking characters in damaged cars with out of state plates.
