A Survivor's Journal...

You are on your own. The Army is MIA and our government is gone! There are no communications of any kind. Cities and towns have gone dark, and zombies fill the streets. The dead have risen and it would seem to be the end of the world. Help me, Mommy!

I am going to have to try to refuel in Marquette when I get there - which should be tomorrow morning - and that's going to be a chore. I've never filled up a locomotive before. I hope there's gas in Marquette...

And as expected, great addition and yet another cliffhanger. Knew Miller would be back. Seems like he somehow senses him and has some sort of link to him. (psionics anyone? :? ) Only good thing is that if he can somehow wing it there is a supply cache at the train waiting for him.

Once again a weekend wait for the next episode. Have a good weekend all!!!! :bandit:

I need to get new dice. They are being way too friendly lately.

Oh NO you don't!!!! Let the dice stay! It's only fair that things finally even out for one of your characters! Think of it as retribution for killing those that came before the Sarge! :P

I'm liking this "calm before the storm" Since we all know how fickle your dice get Leon! ;)

I'm not sure. Part of me wants him to stay in Eagle Mills as there are zero (and yes, my dice say zero) zombies in the town, but another part of me wants him to keep moving to get to Alaska.

So I'm asking my faithful readers to help me out once again. You guys did it before - you are the ones who brought Peter into the story. So what should Peter do? Stay? Keep moving? Go back to Detroit Island? Hunt down and kill Miller? What?

Oh, and if you can't guess from the above, I have no update today. For the reason, read the first 2 paragraphs.

Ok, my vote: WAY too dangerous to go back to Detroit or hunt Down Miller. I say keep it moving toward the land of oiled polar bears!

Have him run into even more survivors, maybe some decent people with a shotgun or 2. ;)

A couple of great additions! Please keep them coming! As for where I think they should go? I'd say let them make their run to Alaska! I just hope the season is good for traveling that far north.

Poor Bobby, but maybe he's better off. Kinda hard to be young and a survivor in an apocalypse. Why couldn't it have been Curt that died. Man is such a royal pain in the rear, that he needs to be zombie chow, though i now await him blaming the sarge for all that has happened.

I can honestly say that the only dice rolls that will get fudged are the ones that kill Peter. Everybody else is fair game. If the dice want Curt to live, then he lives.

Just currious: why does Pete get the love, when main characters before him did not?

 Well there aren't many ways out of that situation...

The only ways I see 'em living...
Spoiler:
1) Secret Passage... (In a clinic on the second story? Doubt it.)
2) Rifting out... (Would destroy the whole thing... at this point anyway)
3) Military... (Wants him dead... so not likely)
4) Group of people trying to help... (More likely to run, tail between their legs...)
5) A couple of clawed ones go on a rampage trying to get to them clrearing swaths through the shamblers... (Plausible... I guess)

In any case I can't wait to see what you do to them with this.

I tried asking Curt what happened and where she went, but he just kept saying that she left and he hopes she dies on her own. Why do I bring this idiot with me? Why don't I just kill him?

Actually in this situation, if someone is not pulling their weight, they get cut off from the group. The group (or person in this case) can not waist resources on a part (or individual) of the group that is not meeting a need or resource.

But it is good so far. Now you just have to have 2 journals (unless the girl is dead already).

A cliff hanger of this magnitude is a dirty, rotten thing to do. Knowing that vacation was occurring only makes it worse.

Reason why Peter was allowed to live by the research group is that he and miller are part of the project. When/If peter dies, he will become like Miller and be able to lead the other zombies!
That is my take on the situation and I am sticking to it.

Excellent Double entry for the return from your vacation! :ok: (hope it was a good one btw 8) )

We made it out the front door of the house, and we were going to take the bus when 3 zombies inside the bus saw us. We started running as fast as we could, but you know what they say about being chased by a bear - I only have to outrun the guy I'm with. Well, I ran faster than Curt, and he didn't stand a chance. Dragged down from behind. I can still hear his bones being bitten into...

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Finally, that punk got what he deserved, though i have to admit i thought he would have gotten Alice killed, but nice to see her being so cutthroat.

I think the sarge has been infected with zombieism (just made that word up ) and for some reason the disease is dormant, like that kid and his mom from 28 weeks later. They got bit, but due to a genetic quirk weren't infected, though they were carriers of the disease.

That's what I am thinking. Some kind of catatonic feverish state pushed him in to being a half-living. Wasn't he scratched or something by zombies a few days before?

Wow, forgot about the half-living zombie. You two may have finally solved the mystery of what the sarge is.

This is definitely interesting and a bit baffling to boot. :-?

He can't be a thinker because you have pointed out that he's alive. You already said that it has absolutely nothing to do with psionics. Can't be magic because it just isn't your style from what i'm reading (though it'll be a nice rope-a-dope on me if it is :P ), besides, it seems that most of the zombie fan base (from what i've read in other threads when DR came out)don't like the idea of magic being behind such a thing. It's obvious that he's some kind of experiment. Military based of course, but the fact that the zombies don't bother him and seemingly obey his commands at times means he has to be some sort of hybrid, just not sure in what way though. :frust:

Still trying to work it out, though i may have to ask for help from my friends if they are able to help. All in all, it's a great story, with one heckuva stumper regarding the sarge. :ok:

While i would agree to a point, sometimes it's best to appease the wife so the husband can have peace of mind.
