A question for Mister Hall

Unread post by Northern Ranger »

Hey Mark, something occured to me while I was reading the press release that was just put out. One of the items advertised as being in Mysteries of Magic one is some additional material on the Goblin Cobbler. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mark the first time that an entry in the Rifter has been made canon in a regular book? If so, that's a banner moment. As if you needed another! But hey, if it is, congrats man. I just thought it was cool enough to bring it up!

I'm rather sure HU 2nd had some Rifter content. Also Dead Reign started there and the Nightbane Survival Guide had material from the Rifter. Also think they used some of the Archie 3 material from the Rifter.

There are some HU powers that were in R1 that were presented in the HU2 book. Natural Combat Ability is the one that flys off the top of my head the easiest. Even if I like the R1 version one better.

There was another topic around here like this one floating at the top of still being discussed.

Well, aren't you just a couple of buzz killers? :-D

Still, I don't follow those other games, so I think this might be the first time for PF? That's still pretty big. Course, it's the first actual book for PF in how long? If they'd done others, there might be more Rifter stuff converted to them.

There is hope that there will be Rifter stuff in the MoM books. Just don't stake your happiness on there being some.

That material was official when it was in the Rifter though, so technically it doesn't qualify as being made canon when it was reprinted in Rifts: Aftermath.

Just saying.

As mentioned, other stuff has gone from Rifter to canon. However, my stuff is the most awesome, as measured by my patented Awesome Meter(tm, pat. pending) (which actually detects Mark Hall memes, which permeate everything I write).
