It's not much, but it's the first one I've finished. Here's a little story I've been floating over at Lazlo Society for Halloween.

Re: Happy Halloween!
Very interesting story.
I managed to put a little more on the unfinished story from last year's Hallowe'en/Remembrance Day/Winter Solstice/Election special I'd been working on.

Re: Happy Halloween!
Happy New Month!
My Halloween went surprisingly well. My car is out of commission again, so transportation was a continuing challenge.
After work on Friday, I was supposed to go to my brother's birthday party. I arranged from someone to pick me up, and I dressed like a hobo (a very easy and quick to piece together costume). I walked to Old Florida Museum, where I used to work, and put in an appearance at the Halloween festivities there. When my ride arrived, I was on the street corner with my cardboard sign. My brother's kids enjoyed playing with a hobo. I'll try to post some pictures.
Saturday evening, I was invited to a murder mystery. So I had to borrow a vehicle after work. I went to a Whodunit party at my girlfriend's apartment. Her housemate was hosting. I played the role of Perry Normal, co-host of the reality television show on the Spooky Network. Lisa (my beautiful beau) played the role of Wendy Lightsdim, a sweepstakes winner who won a chance to appear on the show and won a certified haunted house. The victim played by no one was Sue Pernatural, my co-host and much more popular tv celebrity. Trick-or-treaters did come to the door once. One of the husbands there made a point of locking the front door after that.
Our game was "Murder at Spooky Castle" from Host-party.com. This game included some specific dialogue for each character to read, but it also left a lot of room for improvisation. It really blurs the line between dinner theater and LARPing. After a couple of hours of reading lines and dropping clues, we were each asked to accuse someone else, giving a name and motive for the murder. I had a good theory (or so I thought), but no one guessed correctly. The murder unveiled himself and then made a break for the front door. Our resident ghost hunter gave chase. Our murderer, however, forgot that he has insisted on locking that door, so he got tackled.
I can recommend this particular scenario, Murder at Spooky Castle. At $25 US, it might seem expensive for a single evening of adventure. I thought it was worth the price. The scenario comes with a few props to be printed out, and it is written for 8 to 10 participants. We had eight, and the game ran very smoothly. Since participants bring their own optional costumes, there is really no need to invest in any further props. With three breaks along the way, our game lasted two or three hours. After that, we watched Lisa's other housemate play the Ghostbusters video game.
