bts 1 campain

I have an idea for my bts-1 campaign... and yes I know there is a new addition, but I have not been able to get the new addition yet, and part of me wants to hold out for the beyond arcainem and tome grotesc books if there ever comeing...

any way here is my basic Idea I have dreamed up a villian a mage named Randolf hest.... he is the grand son of an old nazi Occoultest. And like his grandfather is a good little neo nazi, and is wanted in germany. He beleaves in the "master Race" and all the outher bs that goes with it. and thinks of adolf hittler as a bet of a profet or visionary. the thing I am haveing trouble with is how do I throw him in to the campaign....

he is a very evil man. and is well trained and very cold and caculating as well as being vary carasmatic. he is dangerious but does not seem so to most ppl. He would not flinch at sacrficing any of the lesser human races, and might if pushed against the wall even sacrifincing members of the master race......

but he would move carefuly and cover his tracks. and may well have a half dozen alias's, Right now he is trying to gain followers, and power.... I have not yet decided but he may be working for his father and or grandfather. knowing that mages can and do live longer, and a well trained mage would be very good at hideing, if his grandfather is working for randolfs cause he would do so well behind the scenes being wanted for a few dozen war crimes any thoughts would be both helpful and apeciated......

in short the feel I am going for in the campain is kind of dresden files you know the old hard betten detective but with magic.

So, you want to use young Randolf as your villain, but you haven't figured out yet what he should be doing. Well, try thinking of it like a joke. The author of Seven Sons said in an interview that the way he structures his books like jokes. He knows what punchline he wants, so he tells the parts of the story that he needs to set up the punchline. Your punchline is that young Randolf is... what exactly?

If Randolf is trying to raise an army, maybe he is resurrecting the corpses of German soldiers as zombies or mummies. If Randolf is trying to recapture looted gold, he might hire a team of villains to rob a Swiss bank. If Randolf is trying to destroy all of the people of the world except his master race, maybe he will trying summoning the Aryan god, Loki.

Vary good ideas realy, I think maybe his, and his famlys(?) plaine is to try to rebuild the 3rd rigth, or even the forth one, and build his ideal world, Based on hes hero'sadolf hittler) vission.... some ways I could go about would be haveing him recourt cult members for his aryan cult, maybe raseing an army that way, and also he may be trying to rencarnat germanic heros. for his new aryan army. I also need to figer out what he is doing in chicago, becouse that is where the party is based. granted he got run out of germany, but why go to chicago. granted there are libaryers and museams that would have artafacts and books of intrest to him but the same is true of london new york and paris, I see him as farly well off, and involved in criminel activatys, whats the harm in selling posien(drugs) to blacks jews and irish(rember hittler called the irish europes niggers) any thing that would weeken the outher lesser raises would make his master rase stronger... or so he would think and how he would justify such actions. hi is still small, but his famly have porbly been working on his plane for some time

You, might want to check out the Hellsing manga and the Hellsing Ultimate anime for some idea. They have Nazi trying to rebuild their empire and using the supernatural.

Another good option would be to consider using the Hest as a Parapsychologist and become part of the group for awhile (or have him as a main NPC if your just starting this game). In time his plans are revealed when the group would least expect it and would casue lots of scrambling and Hest being one step ahead of them for awhile.

That is a good idea, and could work with the mage angle which is what I have hem drown up as, posably a bember of the same order/trudition as the outher mage in the party.... But what brought him to chicago.... what would be there that would intrest him, thow since I have already started bringing him to the partys attion, on of them even incouded a party member being invited to here him speake form a callage friend

Be sure to throw in a red herring or two to keep the players from figuring out the suprise villain too early. Make it look it someone else it the villain perhaps, who's really only working for Hest... stuff like that.
