This may belong in another topic, but I didn’t find one that seemed appropriate to just tack this onto, so I started a new one.
We’ve had a lot of talking and theory about how the magic system in BTS is going to work. Until Kevin sends out the new Arcanum book, we’ll have to keep doing so as he’s being really tight lipped about his plans and theories.
So I’m asking everyone to give examples of magic spells or methods and whatnot you brought in from other books or have created yourself. Feel free to add your thoughts as to why this particular magic fits the BTS world while you’re at it.

My take on magic is pretty well represented already in the Court of Tarot article and errata. Until shown otherwise,I assume usage of the old 1st edition rules. I also allow some of the more relavent alterate magic classes from other games -- summoners (P Fantasy), arcane detectives (Nightbane Shadows), & techno-shifters (Rifter #13) come to mind. The Magic Item Hero from HU-2 would be welcome so long as the selection of powers was managed. Those HU Magic classes from Rifter #46 could be fun too. The magic classes from Mystic China would also probably work well. I see magic as being more subtle in BtS.
Unless the spell description specifies otherwise, the effects are invisible.
In another thread, I suggested a system by which mages had to use supernatural creatures and channel energy through the critter. I thought it would keep the monsters relevant to the BtS setting. I floated the idea over at the Tank Nine boards where people hhhaaattteeeddd it.
