the federalation of magic and coaltion war cam. books both have very small parts to them that do too. not the whole 25-30 member group. and both are a reference to the same event. i think the england book and maybe africa does to. i'll have to look again.

I think it's Northern hinterlands mentions them, talking about the Palladium of Desires, but, let me give you a brief talk-
The Defilers were the original group. They haven't really been detailed anywhere, and probably never will be. Theres not a lot of info on them. They've simply faded into legend.

There's those few issues that come up every month or two, should add them in, put in a good omnibus sticky. Defilers, adding wards to weapons, maybe enchanted arrows, and apparently rune paper armor.
Not to mention the "when is LoD3 coming out?" and "Who will win, wolfen or humans?" posts. They all come up again, and again, and again, and.. well, you know.

I could be way off track here, not having access to all my books at the moment, but I believe there is some mention of the Defilers in the Library of Bletherad book as well. This would make sense, as they are a part of the history of the Megaverse, and this is a subject that is likely well covered in the Library.

LoD2 has a different adventuring group; not the Defilers, but the Legion of Northmoor

You want to know about the Defilers, then I suggest if you go to
Gen Con and Julius Rosenstein is there, grab a chair, a bag of pop
corn, and be prepared to hear stories of some of the most amazing
adventures ever. I've said it before and I'll say it again, somebody has
got to get their stories written down, they are indeed the stuff of
legends .

Hmmm. Looks like another mystery has risen to attract my attention. I'll have to do some digging now. It sounds like they should get their own book though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the Slayer of Mountains (from Western Empire) a Defiler? If so, then there's a little bit of info for you.
Now I could be wrong, but I think the defilers only knew the Slayer of Mountains, because they teamed up a few times.
And a book would be cool.

I know I'd buy it!
Seriously, hire an author, give him Kev's old notes (if they still exist) track down the players, interview them, and write the book!
Acording to LoD 1 notes from the author Kevin doesn't have notes anymore.

Re: Defilers
For the want of NOT posting in a zombie post (brought back from the dead) I will just add that the Rifts adventure guide has some detail on the Palladium of Desires detailing their adventures in brief in that place. Interesting for defiler fans.

CWC has a foreward thankings some members of the Defilers. I have the 1997 first printing of FoM and can't find any foreword mentions of the Defilers though, which printing did you find yours in? I can't find any in my printings of England/Africa either...jade von delioch wrote:the federalation of magic and coaltion war cam. books both have very small parts to them that do too. not the whole 25-30 member group. and both are a reference to the same event. i think the england book and maybe africa does to. i'll have to look again.
Care to share any of the tidbits you might remember from hearing him? Like do you remember the name of whatever character(s) he played, at least?Reagren Wright wrote:You want to know about the Defilers, then I suggest if you go to
