Story thread idea; require input.

Unread post by Holister »

Hello everyone.

I have been building up to what i believe to be a pretty desent story line for the past few months on The Lazlo Site. It involves history from several older threads I have done, now it all starts to come together.

I would like to involve as many participants as possible and have it span the boards in many ways from "in your face" to subtle. I would also like it to involve some if not most) of Lazlo's resident antagonists as they would play an important part, but NOT the major role of "greater evil" for that position has already been filled.

I think this would allow a major collaberation on behalf of many and would be enjoyed by all involved if if plays out right.

I won't waste my time or yours in no one is interested, but I do hope that I sparked at least some possible interest and will reveal more here if anyone is actually interested.

Thanks

It's hard to make a judgement call without more specifics.

I will say that timing could be an issue. I know my alts are all spread pretty thin as it is and the indication is that they won't be freed up anytime soon. I don't speak for the community of course but I suspect that others are in the same boat.

So the long and the short of it is that I'm interested in learning more but I can't say how involved I'll be able to become at the moment.

Hopefully others will be able to help and commit in ways I'm not able to at the moment.

And for the record, I whole heartedly approve of both epic plots and discussing them openly here at the Palladium forums in order to gain co-operation and participation. Not to mention to hammer out the details so that things can run more smoothly when it comes time to post back at LS.Org. I also think it goes a long way towards preventing upset players and hurt feelings.

It sounds like the easiest way to make the Lazlites do his dirty work would be to leave some crumbs and monsters leading to a plot that the crew, in their zeal, would possibly destroy the defenders of the doorway for the Society, allowing them to open the door and usher in the Old Ones. Frightening, but get enough overzealous people worked up and they'll hunt whatever they believe the source of the evil is in an attempt to destroy it.

How devious. I like where you're going with this.

Hmmm. I didn't think that Mr. Crane was up to any good.

An interesting backstory. Still not sure what you want from the rest of the Society yet, though. In terms of co-operation and what you want other villians to do, I mean.

Ah. In that case I look forward to seeing it.

Seems like you have things pretty well thought out.

I don't think I have a villain or NPC that might be of use to you in this. Even my one villain is likely to oppose a scheme such as this.

I do have some questions though.

What happens if the heroes fail? Worst case scenerio.

Are you willing to have your villians come to a final end if they are defeated?

What sort of participation were you hoping for from the Lazlo community? Was there anything specific you wanted to tie into? I guess what I'm saying, and mind I'm not committing to anything at this point, but what would help you realize this story line?

I have nothing in the way of ideas to immediately add but if I think of something, I'll throw it out there for you here.

I'll also keep my eyes open for other oppurtunities to assist.

Very ambitious. Good luck with it. :)
