Bio-Manipulation question

Unread post by jedi078 »

In RUE is states that Bio-manipulation will affect an opponent inside MDC armor and light power armor (under 220 MDC), but not heavy power armor, giant robots, or armored military vehicles.

That said would Bio-manipulation (specifically the paralysis aspect) work on a large animal that has 400+ MDC, such as a T-rex or fury beetle? To me the way I read the rule is if something has has over 220 MDC and is the size of either a giant robot or a large armored military vehicle, bio-manipulation will not work on it.

Mind you I am willing to allow some other aspect of bio-manipulation such as blind or pain to work on a large animal, just not paralysis.

As per rule, works on anything of any size, the robots / PA with that limit is exclusive to those.
Getting a mage to tell you where the hydra is...10,000 gold
Hiring a summoner... 40,000 gold
Hiring one hundred 10th level mercenaries... 98,567 gold
Giving a hydra skull to your necromancer... priceless

It's not the size so much as the fact the armor/bot interferes with the effective use of Bio-Manipulation.

Bio-manipulation will work on any creature regardless of size or MDC. It's only the nature of heavy power armors and robots themselves that interfear with one inside from being effected.

There is another caveat somewhere for creatures of magic (or maybe just adult dragons specifically). If your players start getting OP with its use, don't forget you can play line of sight games with them to break the effect.
