One of my favorite parts of it was when the robots formed the giant humanoid shape, then proceeded to lean on a building like it was just relaxing there.

Better than most of the crap hollywood has spewed out.

Bollywood would be a better bet for a rifts movie IMO, just imagine Prosek's solo lead in to a massive Chi-Town chorus and dance number.

no...
It can't be a Rifts movie without anthro dogs, psi blade wielding knights, dragons(in sort of color, texture and crazy appearence, included hello kitty dragon), and of course magic(psionic well we can live without it, if you remove all PCC from Rifts earth nothign will change at all, they are irrelevant to the setting, is sad but is so). Realy nothign in that movie yell Rifts. Albeit It is interesting notice that right now , we live in world where technologies to reply on screen typical Rifts feat of awesomenss are presents, so is all matter of good script and money investments.
Of course perosnally I think a Rifts movie should be better made not as Real life movie but as animation(on pixar level of animation, but I doubt Pixar will ever be interested in doing a girtty setting like Rifts....but also the style from "clone wars" are not that bad. An advanced 3d/CGI like avatar or Tron: Legacy too won't be bad, but would be too expensive. Better stuck for a GOOD high definition than a poorly made 3D.).
But really. Of all the things and images that Rifts arise in my mind "crazy hindu robot" is not the first(is roughly 56th right above tatooed ogre gunslinger and behind Adult Dragon samurai )
