Prison - go directly to jail

Unread post by gelidus »

Was looking for info on this and I could not find anything for any of the large towns...

I figure the CS would not keep any magic users (few exceptions) or dbs in jail as it is just easier to put them down.

But what about places like lazlo? Is there anything on this anywhere? If not anyone have something that they use?

Holding cells and detainment facilities may be used in the short term, but I could see banishment and seizure of goods and property to be more likely.

I figure the Coalition has different types of Prisons
first up is the Work Camp Prison, common criminal, D-bees, general people who just rub the Coalition the wrong way. depending on the crime is length and if you get out alive.
Second up is the Holding Prison , Mages, people who pissed the Coalition off big time. you go here next step is death.
Third up is Long Term Prison , If you are here the Coalition has a good reason, to keep you until they need you for something and death is long time coming, so please enjoy your stay. Unless you know someone in the High Command.

Then the the exile crew, you basically throw out of the coalition and tagged and blacklisted and if your family wants to join you, ok with Us.

Coalition laws, including their prisons, are detailed starting on page 28 of WB 11.

A basic listing of varied crimes and punishments are listed starting on page 9 of Merc Ops.

Well I believe Dr. Bradford is the only one in the entire CS that actually knows about it.

But I could see prisoners ending up as guinea pigs for Bradford though...

One of Siege of Toklen books have section of Prisoner of War camps and holding of magic users. Chop off hands and damage voice boxes then replace with bionics. Is some of it.
I hate it when my mind wonders,
Because I have no idea what it will bring back with it.

taalismn says -- Librarians assume the role of scholar-priest-kings in an increasinly illiterate society...

taalismn says -- Abtex...Unofficial archival mole for the fictional arms industry again with the sites that make you blink... :-D

You can find generic all setting gaming maps for just about any structure, I'm sure jails included. I ran a rifts game where the players had to raid the ruins of a jail that some mercs were using as a base. Sadly I designed the layout from memory. I had recently gotten popped for a 10 year old open container ticket and had to either pay 300 dollars or sit for 5 days.
