My farewell (Final)
Well, it is no secret that it has been a bumpy ride with what I think about Palladium Books and Rifts as a game. From thinking that this was the most awesome game ever made to constantly complaining that they never do what they promise to do and publish and ended not long ago to mere and simple "...Meh!" as I feel now. After I sold all my books for a second time as I can no longer support a game that I do not enjoy and a company I do not see any future with.
Then last summer, I sat down and started to write and thanks to my boyfriend who believed in me, I actually got a post apocalyptic science fiction book published just after Christmas and out in a few bookshops, and some of my friends and others who know that I like to GM RPGs have encouraged me to make this book into a RPG set in a post apocalyptic world, that looks a bit like Rifts, but without much of the munchkinism and weapon-porn that is so common in Rifts. So last week, a publishing/printer house finally agreed to help me get my RPG out.
Thus, on April 12th I am told, I will have the first three books from the printers (A main Book, a Players Guide/setting Book and a Game Master Guide/setting/monster book) and I hope that by then, I will have a website up.
Anyway I feel that if I remain here, it feels unethical for me to sit and discuss things here, so I will leave. Much to my own protection (I have read about the lawsuit between palladium Books & the RIFTS MMO over the Rifts name) as to my sense of what is right or wrong.
So take care all, and maybe well meet on forums on other subjects.

'Tis a damn shame, but justified.
Fare thee well Dunia, and I wish you much success.

Re: My farewell (Final)
good luck!!!
I remember days like this when my father took me to the forest and we ate wild blueberries. More than 20 years ago. I was just a boy of four or five. The leaves were so dark and green then. The grass smelled sweet with the spring wind...For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm.

Re: My farewell (Final)
Hello all,
and thank you for your kind words and thank you to those who wrote all the nice PMs that I got, that made me come back here to read it. I will not speak of my game here in the Rifts part of the Forums more than to say that I got three books published and just in time for the 2nd largest game Convention in Sweden where I actually sold all my 90 copies per book (x3) (I kept 10 books of each to give to my parents (who are/were RPG players), my boyfriend, and to my gaming group).
It was quite amazing that people actually bought the books and after the third day (of five) all were gone. This was a fun project and I must say that I am more than happy that I am done with it. Maybe I will translate it to English some time, but I am not sure. It will take too much time from my work, me playing RPGs/boardgames and my fencing. This was a little hobby project and nothing will ever work with as my main job or as a side project, it was something that my players and boyfriend talked me into doing and as one other friend had a parent that worked at a place where they could print the copies cheap for me, I took the chance.
I did not bother to post anything here as they were written in Swedish in order to fuel the Swedish RPG market, which has grown really much the last two years with quite a number of new games.
I just want again to say thank you for your kind words.

Re: My farewell (Final)
I don´t understand why you must leave? You are not Wizards of the Coast or Moongoose, you are just a fan who happens to write his own RPG and sell 90 copies...come on, stay in the forums. As long as you don´t write something like: "Rifts is sh##t and you must buy my game", I think it is perfectly ok for you to stay. By the way, I would like to buy your books so send me a PM as soon as your website is operational. And, just in case, this buy won´t have an impact in my PB future buys...lucky for me, I can buy everything

This.
But if you have to leave, goodbye and good luck. I hope you find success.
