I gotta be honest -- my first character ever (going back fifteen years ago I think) was an Apok and the GM allowed all of his symbiotes / mask to function properly outside of Wormwood -- quite possibly one of the coolest ideas since sliced bread.


OCC: for Power Armor pilots the Phaeton Juicer is brutal.
OCC / RCC: Wolfen Quatoria (werewolf borgs with a grip o' MDC, tracking, radar, and every sick ass gadget and bionic you could possibly ask for -- they're like the Wyatt Earp of Phase World. HELL YEAH!)
RCC: Silhouette (lots of PPE, shadow powers, and some wicked RP opportunities -- they make great magic-users)
RCC: Cyklops-Serpentmen – Aliens Unlimited p.149 - I dunno who thought these guys up but they're BRUTAL - four arms, two tails, one eye, wings, and they can be PRINCIPLED. Like the Titans from Conversion book only way kewler and totally alien-looking -- they're like 20ft tall though.

I recently watched Wrath of the Titans and the Titan's footsoldiers were beings with one set of legs but two complete torsos that were killing machines. They spun around slicing and dicing everything within range - it looked really cool and reminded me of what I imagined Jeridu to look like when fighting. It left me yearning to play a Jeridu, I just wish they weren't so damn powerful - it is a difficult task trying to find a game they wouldn't unbalance.

Had to comeback and mention the Apok. The Confessor just *looks* beast. Which gives me an idea for a new thread...

I really liked the apok but given the stated rules of the symbiot things only work on wormwood I just cannot take any of the wormwood stuff to seriously as its not really transportable to other settings.

From the FAQ:

"18. If you were an Apok from wormwood would the mask survive off of wormwood? Could you be an Apok on earth or anywhere else in Megaverse with the mask?

Answer: Yes to both questions. The Apoks mask is the only wormwood symbiote that can survive away from Wormwood because it is linked to the Apok, not the planet."

I don't really agree with it because it just seems like they decided, "The apok's mask is his *thing*. Let's just say that it works off-world."

Every GM I've ever played with allowed wormwood symbiotes to leave wormwood. One required the player to "feed" the symbiote some amount of PPE every day, but the others didn't even require that since the symbiotes add flavor to the group and are considerably less powerful than symbiotes found elsewhere (like Atlantis).

i like the borg occ's the best. russian borgs are very very tough japanese borgs are super hightech with great hand to hand skills. but my fav is still the original borg occ. just about any idea can be made into a player character with this occ.

"Dog Boy" is not a PCC, unlike the Mind Melter PCC.
