Probably Godling. Splugorth comes close too, but Godling would be better, since I'd still be humanoid.

Alien Intelligence with the ability to metamorphosis into humans and other animals. Non evil alignment so no 'supernatural evil' psionic alarms.. Go for most magic and psionics.. Immortal with some damn cool abilities. Failing, that some of those Rifts Spirit West spirits are pretty cool.. At a more human level, a Godling shifter/mind melter/metamorphosis combo would be sweet. Failing all that, a Sea Titan sea inquisitor (if that's possible) or a Rifts South American Neohuman? Mind Melter is great.

LOL, ok barring the mulka, which since I haven't read manhunter yet (But they sound like a game breaker!) I'd go with
1. Godling
2. Neo-Human
3. Great horned dragon hatchling
4. Cosmo-Knight
5 and I keep mentioning these guys in threads cause they're a personal fave... Bhlaze from Skraypers.
forgot the "Why" part of the thread. My biggest reason for the first 2 and number 4 is to maintain a semblance of humanity. With the hatchling and the Bhlaze a lot of it comes down to coolness factor for me, as I really like both. lol. And by semblance I mean appears to be human. I recognize the innate inhumanity of the godling's nature.

I have no idea what a Mulka is but lots of people sure do like them, that and Sea Titans (not sure what they are either).
So in no particular order:
1. Grackle Tooth
2. Chiang Ku
3. Auto G
4. Quick Flex Alien
5. Demi God (I would have said Godling but don't they loose all their powers without a following ?)
6. Cosmo Knight (because even if I fell I'd still be pretty powerful)
all I can think of for now

Know nothing RE Mulka, but yeah. Sea Titans are a group of mutated humans in the New Navy (Rifts: Under Seas) They are SN creatures who have a higher chance to get major psi powers and can actually be a mind-melter level master psi. in other words, look totally human but surprise! BAD news! lolRazzinold wrote:I have no idea what a Mulka is but lots of people sure do like them, that and Sea Titans (not sure what they are either).

Mulka are from rifts Manhunter, a one off book by a third party. And while I haven't read it , basically they're Mary Sue power characters who are like Q from Star Trek in combat power at least..

Well that makes sense why I've never read up on Sea Titans, I don't have that book lol.
Well if godlings don't need to be worshiped to stay in power then I will switch to that.
What exactly is a "Mary Sue" powers ? Kind of like never truly being defined what all power they have and appearing to never have limits on said power?

I love Underseas! The New Navy is one of my fave factions personally. Check it out man. Mary-Sue is a writing phenomenon, which if I remember correctly was supposedly started years ago by a writer of Star Trek fan fic who made a character that could do no wrong and was in effect an idealized version of herself. A totally infallible character and yes poorly defined limits are usually part of the package.
P.S. Yeah, godlings don't require worshipers. Thus no "I am Thud, Asgardian godling of Thunder!" As in they don't get the nice title.
Re: If you could be a Rifts monster/race/ spirit/ alien, etc.

Re: If you could be a Rifts monster/race/ spirit/ alien, etc.
Well, as an AI you can still die - just attack one of the CS mega cities in your true form and don't run away.. Thing is with most immortality, you can still die from misadventure, so there's no concern with not being able to die, rather, the odds of 'living forever' are slim to none, even if you put aside psychological frailties and physics as we know it..
There's only unusual things like the PFRPG Deific Curse deific power from Dragons and Gods where that's a concern - getting older and more feeble until you're trapped in your husk of a body, thanks to a particularly nasty deity cursing you.

They are a game breaker.
I don't have my copy handy, but...
They cannot be injured.
They cannot be captured.
Their stats are very good.
I don't remember their PPE, but might as well be infinite.
They could talk trash to any AI in the Megaverse...in the AI's face...and not worry about it.
They could literally spit in the face of a Great Old One...one that has been freed...and giggle at the response.

Kind of missing the point of the thread, as few people in real life would pick some weak vulnerable race/species/whatever to become given the choice especially in a world beset by perils all about.
Fair warning: I consider being called a munchkin a highly offensive slur and do report people when they err in doing so.

It's 'canon', not 'cannon'. A cannon is a big gun like on pirate ships, canon is what you mean when referring to something as being contained within one of the books such as how many dice to roll for a stat.

They're not even really supposed to be a race for PCs.

Re: If you could be a Rifts monster/race/ spirit/ alien, etc.
Hell, even as an npc they're over the line. I mean where's the fun as a gm in setting your pc group against something that can never be beaten? I mean recurring villain ok. But come on! No wonder this was a one off out source book.

True enough, but one would almost have to seek that out and how many millennia would that take? Not really something a pc would seek I think unless said pc was anarchist or evil

Really missing the point, the question isn't what would you play in a game of Rifts if you could pick anything, it's what would YOU want to be if you ended up on Rifts Earth. They're totally unrelated.

Whats wrong with seeking worshipers? Its not inherently evil or selfish. You could do it through great and good acts.
Every god has to start somewhere. Your immortal you got alot of time to flip flop how you feel about things.

And you're thread police now? Nope. The tread starter doesn't seem to have a problem with the way it's going. If he did he'd probably have said something.
Re: If you could be a Rifts monster/race/ spirit/ alien, etc.
Not counting the Mulka , my first choice will be the Altess (supernaturally strong and tough "humans" with above average chance to have good psionic abilities, super rich each one of them and with their own technology they can extend their lifespan to 25000 years!). So large amount of money, excellent stats (psionics included) and super long lifespan all in one package.
The next will be the godling or a promethean (a second stage promethean can mop the floor with any godling).
As a non-human alien, my choice will be the Lanotaur Hunter or the Lizard Mage (can't decide between these two).
As a supernatural immortal monster... I really don't know. Maybe a Pandemonium (I know, they cannot cast spells but they have other excellent abilities).

Funny last I checked pointing out when someone's misread what a poster was asking was considered a courtesy, or do you tend to enjoy just ignoring what the thread was about and posting whatever strikes your fancy? Because while threads might wander you're supposed to at least try and address what the thread is actually about rather than what you (in the general sense) would prefer it to be about.

Well, that's the thing about Mulkas; they're not out to kill anybody.
It's not like they'd be attacking the PCs, or like they'd be guarding a horde of treasure and the PCs would have to kill them.
It's like they'd be popping in and out, making the PCs lives more difficult.
Like Q on Star Trek: The Next Generation. The point was never that Q got into a fight with the main characters, nor that they ever had to defeat him in combat.

Hmm, ok that I can see, if they aren't used to kill the pcs off. I guess it depends on the gm.Killer Cyborg wrote:Jay05 wrote:Hell, even as an npc they're over the line. I loved the episode where the Q's were at war. Showed that Q's had sides and plans other than mucking with mortals affairs for sport.
