Has anyone considered that if we carry this to it's logical conclusion, we'll have to come up with Bond Girl names for all the women of the MACROSS saga. :nh:

Like '##### Galore'? No, I was trying NOT to go down that particular avenue of depravity.

Besides, the high collateral damage from Minmei and Lisa's covert war against each other WITH 'quiet' espionage weapons(as opposed to, say, more overt weapons like machine guns and rocket launchers) is a good reason why the Macross civilian police(and the Military Police for that matter) tend to stay in their station houses and barracks, where it's relatively safe.

Kyle: "At last, I get a shot at sleeping with Minmei."
Film Gaff: "Dude...you're the early movie chippy...That means you die horribly in the first half of the movie so the lead can move on with the REAL love interest."
Kyle: "But I still get to-"
FG: "Some necking, no sex. Although with Miss Minmei editing the script, the most you'll get is maybe a raised eyebrow."

“Congratulations; you have been chosen to take part in a Permanent Endowment Revivication Clones-R-Us Contract awarded to Dana Sterling. Your personal genome and persona matrix have been co-opted as part of this endowment and your accounts accredited accordingly with the purchase price of your personal genetic and memetic information! Congratulations!
Courtesy of a recent technology merger between Clones-R-Us and the Cylon Collective, we’re happy to announce that your PERCC now comes with our new Continuous Consciousness Lifeflow(tm) System. Attached to your head, you will find a headband. Please do not remove this. This wonderful device is recording your conscious brain state and preserving it for posterity and incorporation into your PERCC! In the event of your untimely discorporation from your current body, your consciousness will be instantly transfered to your new corporeal body at our Revivication Works or convenient Resurrection Ship! No more having to periodically check into a Dummy Pug Recording System or Brain Scan Center, with the possibility of missing memories because you missed a recording session; our quantum link system provides instant and unjammable up-to-the-micro-nano-nano-nanosecond preservation of your stream of consciousness!
Please wear the headband to insure your precious consciousness is not lost in event of accident or deliberate termination. Removal of the band will mean that if disaster strikes in an unguarded moment, the you who is you now may be lost! Removal of the headband also voids your PERCC bonus payments, and may result in you being hunted down by our Baseline Preservation Service, who will re-acquaint you with our PERCC policies and your obligations as an indentured persona-donor! Try as we might to smooth over any misunderstandings, we advise you NOT to test your PERCC or the BPS. This is all for your own good and good health.
But any inconvenience you may feel you suffer as a result of the CCLS hardware is, we assure you, only temporary. In the event of your untimely discorporation, your subsequent revivication will already have the CCLS incorporated into your new body! Your continued stream of consciousness is thus assured for your PERCC, regardless of what happens to you or what you’re wearing(or not) when it happens!
Any questions? Consult the handy info brochure accompanying this announcement, or contact Clones-R-Us to speak with a service representative! We’ll be happy to answer your questions, address any issues, and resolve any misunderstandings!
And again, congratulations on your selection! Enjoy your PERCC!”

Zor looked at the card in his hand and fingered the band on his head.
Then he looked at the other card that had been tied around his neck with a bright ribbon bow. He managed to bring it up just enough to read the handwriting on it.
“Dear Dana- To our darling daughter-Thought you’d enjoy this.
Your Loving Parents,
Max and Miriya”

Edwards asked for one of Minmei, but discovered he was too poor to afford it, all his money having gone to setting up his own resurrections(the Hunters constantly killing him off, before eventually discovering the Dark Cult he'd hired, obliterating them, and cutting off his source of new lives ), then discovered Zand had made off with his credit cards and emptied out his Swiss bank accounts, before losing it all in high-stakes gambling against Dogbert in Las Vegas.

"Whattya mean you lost all my money to a DOG?!"
"I thought I could tell if he had a good hand by watching his tail!"
"And...?!"
"He was sitting on it!"

"Whattya mean you're not extending my resurrection policy?!"
"You, ah, fail to meet our standards."
"Standards?! WHAT standards?! I'm evil, you're evil, you're a SATANIC CULT! Aren't you SUPPOSED to help out other evil?!"
"Well, you see, we prefer evil that isn't being hunted down by even greater evil."
"What's THAT supposed to mean?!"
"It means we got wiped out down to Brother Malice and myself here. We just aren't going to go up against that sort of firepower anymore..."
"WHO?!"
"Little girl in a baseball cap that makes people disappear, slender bluette with a giant chainsaw, housefrau with an army of Minions...."
"THat doesn't sound like the Hunters!"
"Oh, they hunted us down alright! Even looked under the beds-"
"I mean Rick and Lisa Hunter."
"Oh, they're bad too! I've never seen so many ninjas-"
"Damnass, you don't see ninjas!"
"Brother Malice, I saw the EFFECTS of ninjas...all over the place...only an army of them could have done all that."
"So you idiots got beaten up! What does that have to do with you canceling my insurance policy?!"
"Well, seeing as there aren't enough of us to perform the infernal ceremony, even if we knew all the proper words...we're closing down the cult, taking the remaining money, and splitting for someplace safer..."
"Like Arrakis."
"So, you're SOL, Mister Edwards. Adios!"

Great Mistakes of Robotechnology:

1) Overlooking Recoil in the Grand Cannon:
"Well, we wiped out most of the Zentraedi Fleet."
"That's good!"
"Unfortunately, we've also knocked the Earth out of its orbit and onto an inward trajectory towards the Sun,"
"That's...bad..."

2) Not Checking the Field of Fire of the Grand Cannon:
"Well, we wiped out most of the Zentraedi Fleet."
"That's good!"
"Unfortunately, we've also killed the Moon."
"That's...bad..."

3)Overlooking Recoil in the Grand Cannon(2):
"Well, we wiped out most of the Zentraedi Fleet."
"That's good!"
"Unfortunately, we've also cracked the crust underneath this base. We have five minutes to evacuate before the lava reaches us."
"This is somehow that Hunter brat's fault."

Building a mobile weapon system that concentrates all the unit's Mass on two relatively small points and not bothering to reinforce the deck they're walking on.
