Burster Fire Eruption

Unread post by oldtimer13 »

Looking for some opinions on the Burster's Fire Eruption damages.

I'll use just the M.D. damages but the question applies to both.

Now:
Wall/Pillar does 2D6
20 foot area does 4D6
40 foot area does 6D6

Is the increased damage because the fire got hotter or is it because the target has to run through more fire?

Players felt that if the Burster was capable of making a 40 foot fire then the damage should be 6D6 even if the Fire Eruption was smaller.

Thoughts? Comments?

if you're talking about the burster super fuel flame ability, it increases the damage along with the size anyways. and generally abilities that deal damage based on how much you move through specify that fact.

Presumably, the larger the fire is, the hotter the fire is.
