Cosmo-Knights can have their weapons stolen. Do you think they still do the same amount of damage when other beings use them?
It seems clear they would lose certain features like returning when thrown, plus the enhanced throwing range (I expect normal beings throwing cosmo-weapons wuold have to calculate the distance based on their PS and not the huge epic distance knights can do) and maybe also lose the strike bonus.
I am especially wondering about this in the case of special powers. Other beings clearly couldn't use the blast-enhancing feature because they don't have cosmic blasts to enhance... but what about activating the protective force field?
Even if enemies who steal cosmic weapons (perhaps via disarm or teleport object) can't figure out (or are unable to learn0 how to activate a weapon's force field... what about the enhanced damage? Would damage drop to d4 instead of d6/2d4 when other beings besides the owner use the weapon? Is it a special ability only the owner can use?
One major part leading me to wonder on that is that the damage (like the force bubble or blast-amplifier) is lost by fallen knights, so it would seem odd if a Fallen would only be able to do d4 with a formerly 2d4 weapon, but that they could steal a 2d4 weapon off a non-Fallen CosmoK and utilize it as 2d4. Although... it would create a motive to steal weapons from knights, possibly leading to their own fall... which is interesting.
Fallen CosmoKs retain the ability to 'summon' their weapon. I presume this means make it appear from thin air, and to make it vanish into thin air in return, right? Along with return-when-thrown (w/ range nerf).
In DB12-Dimensional Outbreak, it mentions that people who become Demon Knights they "lose all former abilities". As there is no subsequent mention of Cosmic Weapons (in spite of many Fallen Knights becoming Demon Knights, and Fallen Knights retaining their Cosmic Weapon) it leads me wondering what happens to it...
If we assume that summoning a weapon is an ability, would that mean if the weapon is un-summoned when a Demon Knight is transformed that it is gone forever?
If the weapon is summoned while a FallenK is made into a DemonK, would that mean the weapon can't be vanished at will anymore?
Presumably this also means that FallenKs lose the enhanced throwing range (reduce to PS-based range) and the 'return when thrown' feature? I'm not totally sure though because I don't know if that should be classed as the knight's ability or the weapon's ability...
Assuming the weapon was around when a FallenK is demonized, even if they couldn't throw it far anymore, even if it won't come back when they do (barring the use of magic to enhance either of these things) it still seems like it would make a decent sidearm.
Is the mere existence of a cosmic weapon an 'ability'? Could it be that demonizing will make cosmic knights just vanish from the Megaverse?
Does that mean if say, a Monro thief steals a Cosmo-Knight's Cosmo-Club and is using it to bean Wolfen in space-bars, that if the Cosmo-Knight is so upset about losing his club that he falls, and subsequently is so upset about being unable to regain his weapon that he seeks a new one from Demons, that when he is transformed into a Demon Knight, the Monro will lose his Cosmo-Club? Or could he keep using it, and some day the Demon Knight might regain his club and use a paired club/sword combo?

I would say that they do, just because the fact that it does so much damage would be a great story hook for why it needs to be recovered so quickly if it is stolen.

There's no reason to think the weapon can do anything in the hands of anyone else but deal the base damage of the weapon, as noted under the entry for the class.

The reason to think it would do anything other than base is because it was upgraded. The most likely candidate is damage, the less likely candidate is the force field, the impossible candidate is the cosmic blasts.
