Sovietski Sourcebook
I just wanted to let you all know that the Sovietski Sourcebook manuscript has been officially turned in. I've had many people ask about the progress of the book, so it is great to say that it has been submitted.
My hope is that it will see print by GenCon of this year so I can run official relese events.

Nice! Its always good to clear up a big areas like Russia. Still one of my favorite places to play.
Re: Sovietski Sourcebook
Heck if they can get NG2, minion war and the sovietski book out in 2014 I would count that a pretty awesome year.

I'm hoping to get a few smaller Splicers books in there as well. Nothing huge or tremendously labor intensive, but something for fans of that setting.

Heck if we can get a splicer book that just makes the rifter stuff cannon like the gardener it would be pretty awesome to have all that stuff in one place so I am not hunting through god knows how many rifters I own to dig the article I want up.

Something like that should be a pretty low hanging fruit as well. Chuck already did amazing artwork for most of the stuff in the rifters and the content was good and interesting could easily fit it into something between the road reapers book in size and if extra content was added maybe up to the 96 page-ish side.

from what i understand (not being one of the writers, but trying to co-ordinate on another project that has geographical nearness) it'll be focused geographically on a part of russia where not only do you have conflict between the Sovietski and various other russian groups.. but where NGR related groups can be involved too. i would presume that even if the NGR isn't yet involved.. it's set up so they could become involved should a GM desire it.

Re: Sovietski Sourcebook
Ive always found the Gargoyle War in Europe to be an interesting aspect of Rifts. If this book adds to what Triax 2 gave us, I'll be very happy.
I want to see from Palladium:
Updated Aug 2015
-Rifts: Dark Woods/Deep South, Space 110 PA, Scandinavia
-Mechanoids: Space (MDC)
-Robotech: Errata for Marines timeline, Masters Deluxe with SC and UEEF gear, Spaceships

i always wondered what the cannon's on the warlords of russia book did damage and rage wise ...has there ever been a mention of it anywhere (yet)?
i own but am less well versed in RUE, and my memory is ... lackluster at best keep that in mind if my posts contradict canon lol
Re: Sovietski Sourcebook
I am still waiting for them to clear the Pre-Order section to get cleared. And until it's available for actual ordering, I am not holding my breath.

I always wondered why the Warlords of Russia book had the Sovietski on the cover at all. Especially since there entire section of the book is like 10 pages at the back.
But seriously Palladium, print this book. And make a version with some Warlord shocktroopers fighting on the cover for those of us that already have Warlords. Then when you release the Sovietski book you can just switch the covers.

Sovietski sounds super cool...I just hope there are no more animal robots. That's really the only thing I didn't like about Triax 2...I wish Rifts would sticks with the old school look of a bot. No cheesy wolf/dinosaur/cat/lizard/elephant robots.

Night factory - That would be because the other posts seem to have been deleted in which you asked to have hits off subsequent persons pipes. I suppose I should have quoted them all and will make sure to do so next time.
As for the January it's the date the post was made not in the post itself. This thread was last posted to in February prior to you. In other words TGK post in JANUARY that he submitted the manuscript while you seem to think he us saying it was submitted in June yet you would have had to dig back a bit for this thread since it's been 4 months since anyone posted to it. Again you may want to be more attentive to what you say when essentially mocking someone about what they themselves are saying.

Re: Sovietski Sourcebook
Hey all, let me clarify a few things. Also, I'll answer any questions that I can, so please ask away.
I referenced this, but it was not included in it's entirety. I did include a number of Systema styles for Spetsnaz soldiers, and I'm hoping they all make the cut.
Thank you. I'm glad you think so. I'm constantly trying to improve.
We submitted the manuscipt on December 31st, 2013.
Ok, two things here.
1) My ultimate goal for writing for Rifts is to make Europe more playable. I want to include many more books to flesh out the region, and I have a couple other books that I want to work on for other regions that those who have been paying attention may recall (Free Quebec and Japan).
2) While Russia is a HUGE part of the Asian continent, it is an extrememly diverse nation. The Sovietski are remnants of a military community in western Russia (outside of Moscow), and therefore primarily represen the culture in Western Russia that identifies as European. Also, on Rifts earth, their close ties to the NGR, the communities in Poland and the Romanov camp further accentuate their claim to their European name.
LOL. Yeah, Russian cyborgs are my jam. Those lucky enough to play in my games at GenCon will have an opportunity to play some of the new Shocktroopers I've designed.

I can attest to the existence of said posts and I wouldn't be surprised at all if NMI can still see them as phantom posts, that was how it worked on another board I helped moderate for just this sort of reason.

This is more in line with what the Sovietski would do. Mystical vodkas would be left to wild folk/wilderness people.

It's pretty legit. However, the Sovietski has it's own military style and doctrine to which they adhere. Hopefully it comes across in the writing.

Thank you. I'm glad you think so. I'm constantly trying to improve.
You're quite welcome, Sir. I, for one, love your writing and hope to see your name on the cover of more books. You and Carl are my two favorite Palladium authors.
That's the goal!!! I'm honored to be lumped in there with Carl. That man is awesome. I can't wait to hang with him at GenCon this year since it's been entirely way too long since he and I have put our heads together. He is a great writer and a fantastic idea man, and one of my favorites as a fan of Palladium.
Presently I'm working on a couple Splicers books, followed by my own project which will make it's way to kickstarter. After that I'll be working on additional books for my own imprint, more Rifts (Europe books, Japan 2 and Free Quebec stuff) and Splicers titles (I have a list of about five books) and any other freelance work I can pull down (Like my stuff for Third Eye Games).

I would like to see some mansize borgs. Those smoke soldiers and reaver assassins are no joke. Maybe a mdc opetative might stand a chance if diacovered by either faction.

Awesome. Maybe you can inject some new life into that series. If Splicers had more books, I think it would be way more popular.
Agreed. I know that there are at least three teams of writers working on Splicers projects moving forward. The stuff that has made it into the Rifter is pretty solid, but those are being expanded or added to.

Let us know. I will invest.
Thanks man. Yeah, I'll be sending out some communication here, on facebook and on twitter. You can follow us at Wet Ink Games on FB and twitter.
Yeah. The Spetsnaz shouldn't disappoint.
